This monster is crying and without a doubt, it's in great pain.
Its body is tied with thick metal chains. Its sobbing and big tears were sliding from its eyes.
Monster is a monster but why I’m feeling like this. I wanted to unchained it and let it go free.
Behind our back chains was threw and chain the three of us. The chain warped all over our bodies. Making the three of us immobilized.
“What is this? Lost children? This is not a playground you know. The three of you don’t seem familiar and the three of you have weapons. Defective laborers are not permitted to have weapons… What is happening here?”
Behind our back, a man wearing knight armor revealed himself. On his hand were long chains that he used to warp the three of us.
“Wind blade!”
Using my wind blade, I break the chains warping our bodies. I then pulled my sword and attack the chain user.
“Magic? Are you an adventurer?! I didn’t know that our city has some little guess! Ironhead will be pleased when I capture three of you!”
“You can only dream of doing that. There no way you can defeat the three of us.”
Yumi drew her dagger and get behind the knight.
Her dagger attack was then blocked with the chain. He then swings his chain around with force. One horizontal swing of the chain crushed Yumi’s position. The chain missed but the damage it left was dangerous.
The ground where the chain crush was holed.
With one direct attack from that chain. We’re going to be injured.
Taki rings her bell and chants her skill.
“Cheer tone!”
Cheer tone has an effect that enhances our physical abilities. Using Taki support. Yumi and I charged toward the knight in a direct direction.

The chain fired to Taki. Taki leaps upward to dodge. She used the chain and run straight to the knight.
She challenged her magic on her bells and swings the top to the knight's body.
“Thunderclap!”
Lightning sparks in the abandoned factory directly hitting the knight's body. The knight got blasted away to the wall. His armor was holed on the center revealing its stomach.
From above and grip my sword tightly and activated my ability.
“Lightning swift!”
My body moves at extreme speed and slashes the knight's body. Yumi followed by clenching her fist and delivering a powerful punch right through its stomach.
The knight was still standing after catching three attacks from the three of us. Seeing it was quite a surprise.
“Hahahahaha… These kids… I won’t let you get away from this. Master Ironhead’s plan will continue…”
The knight is barely standing. Blood sprayed from his mouth and he continues to speak.
“... Anyone who dares to block our way needs to die.”
“What is happening in this city?! Knight Ironhead was supposed to be a hero of this city. Why that man is doing such a thing? What is your plan?!”
“Why would I tell to a kid like you?! Chain Restriction!”
Suing the last drop of his magic he cast magic that warps our body with chains. The chain was tight and it's different from earlier.
The chains are sucking out the magic and transferring it to him.
“Healing chain!”
This wound started to disappeared every second. Meanwhile, the three of us are getting weaker and weaker. We then fell on the ground and grow weaker.
I let my guard down. Taki and Yumi can’t move either.
The knight pulled the sword on his waist and walked to me. He looks down at me with his cruel smile. Rising his sword he points it at my head.

“Don’t be sad… The two of you will join her in the afterlife too!”
Because of fear, I closed my eyes before the sharp point of the sword reaches my head. “Cling!” echoed in teh abandoend factory. I slowly opened my eyes and saw the pitch-back-haired man we met yesterday night.
“This is not my job, but I can’t just leave a watch to this horrible sight.”
“Wh-Who are you? Well, it does matter… All I have to do is kill you!”
The knight attacks with his chained. Nightshade swings his hand and a magic circle appeared in front of him.
“Repulse!”
The chain was blocked. Nightshade then pulls a dagger on his waist and attacks the knight in speed that can is seen by the n***d eye.
“Assassination!”
The neck of the knight was cut down and blood gushes out from it. The knight fell without a sign of life on him. The chain magic cast on us disappeared in thin air.
“This is the mother… But its children are not with her.”
Nightshade muttered as he looks at the mouse monster crying face. He then put his hand on its head and rub it.
Seeing his action I was convinced that he is not an opponent.
I approached him.
“Thank you for saving us. Without you, were already dead.”
“...”
“Ummm… Can I asked some questions?”
“Go ahead.”
“What are you doing in this place? Do you have the same quest as us?”
We then explained the reason why we came to this city. Unfortunately, Nightshade is on a different mission. He then told us that our mission was tied down to each other.
“Monster hunting is not my mission. I’m merely investigating the happening in this city after I heard a rumor about the monster roaming around. I’m suspecting that there was a Contractor is controlling those mouse monsters. I need to find it immediately.”
A contractor is the kind of person that has the ability to tame monsters. They are also called enemies of humanity.
“Why Nightshade is looking for a contractor?”
“It's to have revenge. I need to find the contractor as fast as possible.”
“Then, we might help you out. It's dangerous… Also, I can’t take care of three people at the same time. Knight as power like that will appeared soon. The three of you better go back from your city before your get caught.”
After saying that, he leaps to the rooftop and leaves us three alone in the abandoned factory.
I know that he saves us, but he should stop treating us like a bunch of kids.
Turning our heads to the mother mouse. The chain is too thick to be destroyed by my sword. We can’t do anything about it.
Even Taki is having a second thoughts about slaying the monster.
“We should leave it here. A knight got killed and sooner the knight's body will be discovered. We need to flee as long as we can.”
Yumi and I nodded to Taki’s suggestion.
We fleed pon the factory and go back to Eight blocks to investigate more to the incident. This time there are lots of people walking I the street of eight blocks and I didn’t understand it.
Just where did these people go yesterday night.
While walking. The earth started to rumble and everyone panicked everyone run as fast as they can.
“Laura let's go before the earth crumbles apart!”
“Nope, let's stay… The last time the monster appeared when there are no people around. Maybe the monsters will appear here again tonight.”
“Laura is right… We need to search in a deserted area. Let's wait here until the night arrives.

Time passed and the moon shows itself with the night sky. The people are still not returning. The whole place is like a ghost town like before.

Taki chanted her sound manipulation and made our body release less sound. Even we jump and punch. Our body is not releasing any sound.
With the help of this skill were able to tail the monster easily without being noticed.
While we are talking about the monsters. Taki heard something odd.
“Did you hear that? Seems like someone is playing the flute…”
