The Beginning(chap 1)
Since the incredibly successful research trials conducted by the mysterious scientist, humanity has managed to evade the severe consequences of environmental degradation. At the same time, the emergence of special children in the 2x5x era marks a significant turning point. These children possess unique antibodies that help them adapt to the outside environment, and each of them embodies a distinct power. They are the solid foundation for the rebirth of all humanity.
With no government or president left, every remaining area of human life is now managed by organizations dedicated to researching and training warriors to hunt down and eliminate POG. These organizations include names like AOD, EOPS, MKP, and others.
Among these, AOD and EOPS are large-scale organizations with multiple branches, tasked with managing human behavior and responding to POG attacks. The regions controlled by these organizations often have their own nicknames, but collectively they are commonly referred to as the "Final Lands."
In the year 2x7x, a bustling morning in the AD1 region—one of the areas managed by AOD—paints a vibrant scene. The bright smiles and friendly greetings of the people create a lively atmosphere, as if the disaster had never occurred. Stepping away from the noise of the crowd, in the floating homes owned by P-VIPs, a girl gazes pensively at this artificial world. Her name is Aurora.
As a member of AOD and one of the P-VIPs, Aurora has participated in numerous high-level POG elimination missions. Now 20 years old, she began undertaking missions as soon as she turned 18. In just two years of combat, the number of times she has died exceeds ten fingers.
How is she still alive after so many deaths? It’s thanks to advanced technology in the research of these special children, which allows for their regeneration after sustaining injuries. Even if they die, lose limbs, or are beheaded, these children can still be resurrected.
Aurora is truly terrified of the dark secrets hidden within the organization more than the hungry monsters writhing outside. Looking at the world built by these organizations, a world of light that no longer reflects the sun she once read about in human documents; the greenery and chirping birds are merely realistic illusions that blur the line between reality and fantasy.
Though she has often been curious and tried to delve deeper into the organization, she has had to put those plans aside, knowing the organization is prepared to brainwash her, erase all her memories, and even worse, eliminate her without hesitation and create new children in her place. However, she refuses to be treated as a puppet or a mere manufacturing tool. She yearns to find a warmer new world, to live as a normal person in a normal world, and to expose the brutal truths hidden by the organization.
In the main hall of the AOD headquarters, a diverse assembly of teams against POG gathered, each with different ranks. The sheer number of attendees was astonishing and left everyone feeling bewildered, as this was one of the rare occasions when all levels met together.
“Hey, do you think something significant is about to happen? Why would everyone be summoned here at the Master’s command?” one person asked, their eyes filled with concern.
“Only the organization knows what they’re planning. We’ll find out soon enough,” another replied.
The previously lively atmosphere, filled with the presence of so many teams, suddenly turned serious. At the entrance, a group of people approached, exuding a cold, powerful aura that set them apart from the crowd. They were team A-002, one of the renowned P-VIP units.
Leading them was Ranes, the captain of A-002. With slicked-back black hair and dual-colored eyes—green and gold, reminiscent of a mysterious black serpent—he commanded both respect and fear. With his terrifying physical strength and the ability known as Black Fire, he could unleash hellish flames that incinerated everything in their path, leaving no trace behind, not even ash.
The other members of A-002 were equally impressive.
Overview of the Ranks:
Those at rank A are assigned to P-VIP units, each consisting of four members. They possess extraordinary superpowers that have been enhanced to their maximum potential. Alongside their formidable abilities, they exhibit superior physical strength, embodying a near-divine transformation.
Rank O members possess special abilities but do not have the enhanced powers of rank A. To engage in combat, they require support devices and weapons to amplify their strength. An O-rank team typically comprises five members.
Finally, the D rank represents the lowest tier, consisting of 6-8 members. They are often mocked as “trash products” of the organization because they lack significant powers or enhanced physical abilities. They are usually assigned menial tasks and equipped only with weapons that have limited energy. They are seen as shields, ready to sacrifice themselves to pave the way for A-rank teams to complete their missions.
Following team A-002 was O-101, known for being entirely female. Leading this team was Mira Anna, a goddess with a fiery physique that caught the attention of both men and women. She had sharp features and emerald-green eyes framed by lustrous golden hair. Mira rarely relied on her powers; in most missions, she used only supportive weapons for combat.
Unlike Mira, the other members of the team always had to combine their abilities with supportive weapons to complete their missions. Despite working closely together, none of them had ever seen her use her powers.
One after another, teams A-003, O-102, and O-103 entered the hall. Finally, the strongest team, A-001, made their entrance.
