This had to work. Donovan didn’t have any other options at this point. He needed to find Roxy as quickly as he could, put this protective talisman around her neck, and destroy the warlock who started all of this. The only thing he knew for sure was that the whole reason for her a*******n was as bait for a dragon. Bait for him.
That meant one thing and one thing only. In order to get to Roxy, he had to give whoever took her what they wanted. A dragon. Specifically, he’d deliver himself to the warlock.
