6 months later

Rose's pov

I was so excited Lee was taking me out to celebrate our six months anniversary. I was hopping tonight would be the night he popped the question. I mean we were in a very serious relationship so that was the next logical step. That and I couldn't wait to get started on a family. I mean we both know we're going to get married so why wait?

He's being so secretive about tonight. I haven't even seen him today because he's been gone getting things ready. I took this time to go and take a pregnancy test. I was worried because I was three weeks late. I had a feeling I was pregnant.

I took the test and stared at it. I was so nervous, and three minutes were taking forever. My watch beeped letting me know it was time. It had two lines. It was a given I was pregnant. I sat down and cried because my dad was going to miss out on so much of my life. Lee’s dad has become like a father to me and has really helped me with the pain. I was so thankful for him and Lee.

I was nervous about telling Lee because this wasn't planned. I mean would he even want to be a father? I didn't even know if he wanted to marry me now this. I wanted this baby even if I lost him because of it.

I guess tonight he was going to be in for one hell of a surprise. I just hopped it would be a good one. I started to get ready since Lee would be picking me up soon.

I would tell him about this after I see a doctor. That way I would know for sure. No reason to freak out until I know for sure. Yes, that was what I would do. I hurried and got ready. Then I called my doctor and set up an appointment.

Tonight, we would celebrate our love. Tomorrow afternoon I would go and find out if we were going to be parents. There was a part of me that wanted to be pregnant, and then there was a part of me that didn't want me to be.

I want kids someday. I just wanted to be married first. I heard a honk, so I hurried downstairs since Lee was here. I got in the truck and gave him a kiss. He looked so handsome tonight. I felt so lucky to have him. We drove a little bit than stopped. I wondered what he was doing since we were still at the ranch.

He came over and opened my door than grabbed a picnic basket from the back. I looked to see we were at the lake. This was our place when we were younger. He Laid out a blanket and we sat down.

"Do you like the surprise?"

"I love it."

"Happy anniversary beautiful."

I leaned in to give him a kiss but before I could he pulled out a ring. I can’t believe this is happening. I know my dad had a hand in this. He brought Lee back to me. I felt like he was here in this moment laughing and saying I told you so.

"Rose I love you so much will you marry me?"

"Of course, I will."

He put the ring on my finger than kissed me. I was so happy. I was going to be his wife. I would spend forever making him happy. Now I really wanted the test to be right that I really was pregnant. To have a little piece of me and Lee in a sweet little baby. I felt like all my dreams were coming true.
