The Luna’s Rose

July 20th, Camilla would awake to the sound of her mother downstairs playing the piano as she did every morning, she would walk down the stairs and lean against the wall as she reached the bottom, watching her mother effortlessly play Camilla’s favorite childhood song “I See The Light”. She would giggle and cough slightly getting her mother’s attention “Good morning sweetie!” Her mother would say as she stopped playing and stood to make her way to the kitchen where her brother and sister had already made haste of stealing all the pancakes. Camilla would quickly swipe the last pancake from the plate while giggling as her siblings whine at her. “Well you guys shouldn’t have been so greedy with them before I got up” Camilla would laugh as she said this and began to cut her pancake before pouring syrup onto her plate and slowly chewing as she eats. Her younger sister Kyleigh would run over and give her a small rose picked from the garden “Here you go sissy! A rose for a prettier Rose”. Camilla would giggle and smile before kissing her forehead gently. Kyleigh had been bringing her a rose every morning for almost as long as she could walk, Camilla had a birthmark on her hand that looked exactly like a rose so that became a tradition every morning for her sister. She would quickly eat her pancakes and begin helping get her siblings ready for school. She would put Kyleighs hair into two beautiful Dutch braids down her back. Ethan was the middle child but he almost towered over Camilla which gave most people the impression that he was the oldest of the three. Ethan quickly grabbed his bag and yelled bye before rushing out the door to meet his best friend Aaron. Ethan just so happened to be best friends with the Alphas Middle Child so he rode to school with him every morning. Camilla would then help Kyleigh onto the school bus before walking back into the house to get ready for school herself before her father stopped her. Camilla’s father Jackson was the Beta of the pack and had been very close to the Alpha since they were children. “Your not going to school today hun, the alpha has requested your presence as well as mine and your mothers, so please go upstairs and get dressed” he would say in a shaken tone, Camilla could tell her father was worried and honestly so was she, Camilla hadn’t shifted into a wolf yet and she knew that probably was what the alpha wanted to speak to them about. She would make her way upstairs and begin to brush out her Long black hair which hung to the middle of her back and she would smile softly as she began to apply a darker eyeshadow to her eyes to complement her Stunning emerald green eyes. She quickly finished her makeup before walking to her closet and getting out a grey blouse and a pair of black jeans, she would quickly change before putting on a pair of dark grey booties with a 2 inch heel. As she finished getting ready she made her way downstairs and looked at her mother and father waiting by the door, her nerves causing her hands to shake as they left making their way to the Alphas Home. It wasn’t a far walk as they lived right across the courtyard from each other. They would knock on the door and they would be greeted by the house keeper before being let into the house where they saw staff preparing for the party the next day, which so happened to be her 18th birthday as well as the Alphas oldest sons birthday. The alphas son left when he was 13 for training and he was to return the day of his 18 birthday. Everyone had heard rumors of the young alpha and they were all fearful from what they had heard he was relentless. Everyone was eagerly awaiting his return especially the she-wolves who had yet to be mated or find their mates. Everyone aside from Camilla that was, she hadn’t shifted and wasn’t able to find her mate until she did so. Camilla and her family would make their way to the Alphas office before knock awaiting a response as a commanding voice responded “Come In!”. They would enter and greet the alpha bowing their heads to him as a sign of respect. “Good morning Alpha Rhydian” Camilla would say as she sat in one of the three chairs her family quickly sitting as well. She would try to keep her hands low so he couldn’t see how badly they were shaking as she looked at him. “Camilla as you know we have rule about this being an only werewolf community” he would say sternly. “Yes sir I know” Camilla would respond with a somewhat shaken voice, she was absolutely terrified of what was gonna happen, we’re they gonna kill her? Allow her to stay? Banish her? She had no idea. He would look at her and sigh softly before speaking” Camilla as of law you are an adult as of midnight tomorrow and if you have not shifted… you will be banished from the RiverStone Pack.” Her heart immediately dropped and suddenly everything was black…
