Seduction

Alonso clenched his jaw, his eyes darkened. "Look Ashley, this isn't a joke. I am his most trusted friend, so you should not be afraid to hand it over. I have to ensure it is signed before someone who cannot be trusted gets his or her hands on it." He kept rumbling. Ashley took her eyes off him, saying, "I am sorry to be the one to tell you that the document has been signed already and it was signed in his presence. You can leave now." "What the hell are you talking about?!” A line appeared between his brows as he raged. “Who did you give it to? Who signed it?!" Alonso went on with that same bitter tone. "Don't you dare raise your voice at our stepmom again!" Jamal threatened Alonso with his pointer finger raging towards him, it didn’t sound like a joke, he was actually loving the term ‘stepmom.’ Ashley was surprised, she didn’t expect Jamal to defend her. She became a little more confident when she noticed Jamal had already accepted to call her his stepmom. "It's okay, Jamal.” Ashley said softly, and Jamal looked at her, she met his gaze briefly and his rage began to decrease. “Listen, Alonso, if there is anything to protect, Morgan has already done that. He made me sign the document and that was when I got to know that our marriage was also included to make it official and confidentially bounded. We do not doubt the fact that he trusted you, but maybe he trusted me more to handle delicate matters." Ashley uttered eloquently, raising a brow. Alonso scoffed. "I see! You are not the harmless dove I thought you were when he introduced you to me.” he glanced at the three men by her side. “So you are all going to team up with her after all I have done for the family?" Alonso asked hoping they would reconsider whose side they take. "We still trust your loyalty, Alonso, but you heard her, right?" Kyle asked, "Plus, we would not have believed her if we had not witnessed her marriage with our late father. Please let it go. We are grieving at the moment and you should not be so interested in a document when it is your friend who just died." Jake added wisely in a way that impressed Ashley, she stared at him in admiration. "I hope to see you come by the office when this is all over, Ashley." Alonso concluded and walked away shamefully. Ashley covered her face again with her hands, and Kyle sat with her, slowly crossing his hand over her shoulders, "you do not have to feel threatened by Alonso. He fears us and he works for us." "Take your hands off me, Kyle. I never said I feel threatened," Ashley said, lifting her contorted face to look at him, he quickly took his hands off and adjusted to keep his distance. He had thought she would fall into his arms for comfort, thinking she was fragile like the other girls he flirted with, but she looked fierce. "Please wait here while I bring the document for you all to see and confirm yourselves." She said and walked away majestically. Kyle stared at back, watching her lips sway, he wet his lips. "Wow, she is hot!" Kyle exclaimed the minute she was out of sight, grinning to himself as he licked the corner of his lips. "Behave yourself, Kyle. This one is your stepmom now." Jake warned, he could already tell what that look in Kyle’s eyes meant. "That doesn't stop us from pleasing her if she needs it. Besides, dad is dead. Who is going to satisfy her now?” Jamal said with a smile on his lips and Kyle chuckled. “Admit it, Jake, she is gorgeous." "You’re both insane.” Jake narrowed his eyes. “You are seriously thinking about this at this critical moment?" He asked, but they both stopped replying the minute they saw Ashley making her way back. "Here is the signed document for a proof. You should all go through it and understand the responsibility placed on me and the very reason why I should be crying." She said with a sobbing tone and sniffled when Kyle took it from her. "So, whoever you choose will not only take over from our dad but will also share the wealth accordingly?" Jamal asked after reading to that point, "Interesting." He added when he noticed she was not going to respond to that. Jake waited patiently and was eager to go through it before they start talking. He took it from Jamal the moment Jamal was done and he started from the very first thing, "It is very true. Dad must have known that Kyle is not interested in business and he is extravagant in spending. No doubt you will lavish dad’s money before you even get to share it." Jake made fun of him. Kyle’s brows furrowed. "Speak for yourself, Jake, unless you do not want to finish reading that!" Kyle got offended because at the moment he was trying to impress Ashley with his manly aura but Jake wasn't helping. "I think Dad is right about everything written here and I will agree with him hundred percent because none of us is actually ready to singlehandedly continue from where he stopped. I am speaking for myself though." Josh uttered hastily, trying to avoid offending anybody. He gave Ashley the letter and sat down. "Kyle, I think we should go with what the document holds because I am so not ready to do business meetings when I have a world out there to cruise with.” Jamal said, dragging his eyes lazily from Ashley, already bored from all the business talk. “What do you think?" Kyle gasped after taking half a minute to think about it. "Yeah.” He turned to Ashley. “Ashley, you should carry on with it until whenever you think one of us is qualified to handle it because we have known our dad to be right and he knows us too well to make mistakes about our personalities." Kyle summarized after thinking he himself needs time to seduce her into becoming his girlfriend and may be distracted by family business. He was already crushing on her and so was Jamal and Jake. Only that Jake wanted the other two to give up so he could try and get her because she was everything he dreamed of. "Good. I think we are done here. We will be leaving now. Take good care of yourself beautiful stepmother. Our next visit will be to prepare for our dad's funeral." Jamal intoned vocally. "We only came to introduce ourselves to our stepmom. See you soon, Ashley." Kyle added. Kyle knew they had intended to show up and accuse her of being a gold digger, he left without saying goodbye. Kelly walked in immediately and sat close to her with excitement in her eyes "I told you they were going to accept you because you were already pronounced husband and wife before Morgan fell, I was eavesdropping.” Ashley looked at her with a frown. “Don't look at me that way.” Kelly said with a smile on her lips. “So, how do we move the entire wealth and make it ours? Do you have any idea yet?" Kelly asked with hasty utterance. "I have been thinking about it too..." Ashley’s lips curved up into a broad smile and Kelly giggled.
