Chapter EighteenSeven Days After At 11:00 a.m., Linda Caldwell and a painfully thin man in his late sixties with wisps of white hair pointing in all directions sat at a conference room table at LAPD. Brad Caldwell waited in the lobby to take his wife home. “That's her lawyer, Arthur Johnson,” Stacey told Curt Lowell as they looked into the room through a one-way mirror. Stacey and Curt Lowell walked into the room, while Jeff Butler and Alicia Garcia watched through the mirrored window and took notes. Upon entering, Stacey said, “I'm Detective Gray with LAPD.
