My father appeared conflicted as Jennifer's eyelids fluttered, but then he stepped away from her.
He came over to my side, close to the exit door. "The last time she saw me she had a pretty strong reaction, so I can't risk that happening again." He murmured. But he still didn't leave the room, his eyes never leaving her.
