The holiday's where so hectic, it was the kids first Christmas and today is their first birthday. We are all getting ready for their birthday party. My family normally host a Gala today but that all changed since I had the twins.
Mal and I just went for a run, and walk in the kitchen. My dad is dancing aroud the kitchen with Gail in his arms.
I giggle
" Awwe how cute"
Dad turns
" Denny I didn't know you where back from your run I...."
I put my hand up walking over and grabbing an apple I hop on the counter
" So how long have you been seeing eachother?"
Dad smiles
"5 Months"
" Gail what are your intentions with my father?"
She smiles
" Not sure Denny girl it is still new to us"
I nod
" Well I love you both, and wish you the best"
They both smiles at me
Maliki walks over to me and kisses me
" Look who is all gung ho for love"
I push his chest
" Shut up, only because I have you and soon to be three amazing children"
He chuckles
" Let's get ready for our babies birthday"
He turns to walk off I pull his arm back
" One more"
He smiles at my pouty face and reaches up kissing me over and over and I giggle against his lips.
" I love you Ardenia"
" I love you Maliki"
He helps me down and we walk out of the kitchen. The party has gone well so far we just finished cake and presents. We are watching all the kids play.
Daniella: " Few more years and there will be a whole lot of toddlers running around"
I giggle
" No kidding"
" I can't believe you are having a girl I am so happy for you"
"Thanks Denny I really Apreciate it"
My phone rings
" Hello"
" Hi is this Ardenia Owens?"
" Um Yes"
" I'm nurse Leanna from the ICU at St Johns. I need you to come pick up Francis Belsta his mom is in critical condition"
" What happened?"
" We will explain when you get here please"
I hang up
"MAL"
I run over to him
" Mal we need to go now"
" What's wrong baby?"
" Something happened to Cheska Francis needs us we need to go"
He nods
" I'll grab the car tell Gail to watch the kids" He kisses me
" Calm down baby"
I nod and go find Gail
" Hey I have to go get Francis will you watch the kids?"
She nods
" Always Denny girl go ahead"
I walk off and go get in the car with Maliki. He drives us to the hospital and we get out together I walk in and little Fransis hugs me
" Aunt Denny"
" Hey baby go to uncle Mal let me talk to the dr."
I walk over to the Dr.
" What is going on with Francheska Belsta?"
" Umm come with me"
He walks me to a room where 3 other people are.
" This is her emergency contact"
" Hi Mrs. Owens I am Stephana with child services"
" Why is child services here?"
" Mrs. Owens did you know Fancheska has been doing illegal drugs?"
" What no! Cheska would never"
" Your friend passed about 10 minutes ago due to overdose she said she was finally going to be with Mason"
" Do you know who that is?"
" Yeah it's Fransis's dad he died over a month ago"
" Mason Owens correct?"
I nod
" Any relation to you?"
" He is my husbands phycotic brother why?"
" So you are the childs family?"
" Yes, I am also his God mother"
" Well we need to draw up paperwork but will you be able to take the child?"
" Yes of course"
" And where will you be staying?"
" The Carson Compound"
" Do you work there?"
" No, I own it my maiden name is Carson"
" Perfect we will need to do a home visit tomorrow before we can place the child there"
" No"
" No?"
" I am not leaving here without Francis do the home visit now it is my kids First birthday so there is a party happening I want it done now"
She nod
" Very well, Jack will take Francis with you to the compound and if his findings are well for the child we will let him stay"
I nod and walk out the door I grab Francis
" Your going to go with Mr. Jack I am going to take you to my home okay?"
" Okay aunt Denny"
Jack grabs his hand and they walk out
Maliki: " Baby what happened"
" I will explain in the car come on"
I grab my phone and call Brandon to let him know what is going on. Then turn to Mal
" So she overdosed?".
" Yeah to be with your phychotic a$$ brother aparently"
" Why?"
" Not sure but the answer is in her house we will find it when we are done with this home visit"
" This is okay right us taking Francis in?"
" Of course it is baby I wouldn't have it any other way."
The visit goes fine and they let Francis stay, once we put all three kids to bed we head to Cheska's house Mal found her drug stash and I found a stack of letters from Mason. I started reading them and it makes me sit on the bed crying.
He promised Cheska forever, that he would not be the same man he was before he went to prison. He told her that her and his kids where all that mattered. I don't understand how someone could write such heart filled letters and not mean them.
Maliki wipes my tears
" Not all people know love like ours baby sometimes it is sick and twisted and fake"
I nod
" Ours isn't right?"
He pulls me in his lap
" My love for you Ardenia Rose will always be pure same with our kids all 4 of them."
I kiss him
" I love you Maliki Daniel"
He kisses my head
" Until my dying breath I will love all of you baby and even after"
I smile and he picks me up carrying me out of the house and taking me home.
