After returning and bolting the door behind her, Heidi slumped down on the couch in disbelief. So Mr Ross, the frail little elderly man, that wears a ball cap, is the leader of this Red Rock Group. Hmmm Ross, I remember my mother worked for the Ross', that was the last name of her boss, and CEO of Tempest Insurance. Heidi wondered if there was any relation, although her intuition already said; there are no coincidences. Next she found the bug detector, and she started to go around the house. She wasn't exactly sure how to work the thing, however, it really started to go crazy with beeping when she got down by the wifi router. Not surprising, she thought, I wouldn't even know what to look for, and from what she learned about bugs, some of them could be very small, and barely detectible. Michael has said he would do this for her, but he wasn't home and is already busy. Now, she would have Michael double check for her around that router. "Woof, woof", Mimi started to bark, which alerted Heidi to someone must be around the house. As she looked out the back window near where Mimi barked, she saw the back of the you g man resembling Matthew, walking away fast from near her yard. She opened the window a little, as she called, " Hey you, what are you doing, and why do I always see you around my yard?" The young man sped away on foot, apparently he didn't want to have to answer any questions. Now, was that old man the one sending the Matthew lookalike her way, to snoop around? She wondered to herself. "Oh Heidi", called the old man's voice from one of those two way bugs. "Oh Heidi", it continued with a sinister laugh. One thing was apparent, this group of seniors really got off on seeing Heidi go crazy. She would not allow them to have the last laugh, however, how would these occurrences not make one crazy. She literally had no privacy inside of her own home, and she had a husband that misses all the taunts laid out for her, as these voices always make sure that only Heidi is around to witness them. Mimi was a witness as well, but who would ever believe her, or even understand what she barks for that matter. "Have you figured out what we want from you yet Heidi?", asked the voice. "If not, soon it will be disclosed unto you," the voice also added. "What, what will be disclosed, that you are a bunch of senior douchebags?!" Heidi yelled back. "You will find out soon, everything will be disclosed" the voice said before the two way radio video device shut down. At that same moment, Heidi heard Michael's car pull into the driveway. Of course, thought Heidi, can't have Michael see that Heidi is not insane, when she discloses all of these occurrences to her husband! Heidi was awaiting Michael, to come through the front door, as he walked in. "Oh thank God, your home, I need for you to recheck this area near the router that started going crazy, earlier when I got out the bug checking device," Heidi frantically stated to Michael. "Honey, what is going on?", Michael asked. " Can I at least get my work boots off first?", he added. "Michael, this is serious, we definitely have a huge problem, and we need to call the police because our house is bugged, and our privacy has been invaded, I really can't be sure if every place they got bugged, but they were here, and they can hear us and see us." Heidi frantically said. " Honey,I am not saying that you aren't right, however, these are serious accusations, and I feel we should make a doctors appointment for you, it seems you have been under a lot of stress.", Michael said in a concerned tone. " I tell you what, how about I come with you when you walk Mimi again.", Michael negotiated. "Yes, absolutely, I think that would be a good idea you coming with me then you can see what I mean about the trees, and the cars, and see who is out watching.", Heidi agreed. "Perhaps, that young man I been seeing that looks like Matthew will be out, then I can show you him.", she added. " Ok then great dear, I will go get Mimi's harness." Michael said. At that moment Michael proceeded to go grab Mimi's walk gear. He headed back and readied Mimi up, to go out, Heidi was pacing, as she looked out the window. "Just about ready here.", Michael stated as he clipped in and grabbed Mimi's leash.
The 3 of them headed on down the driveway, past the dogwood tree, and onto the sidewalk that would take them straight down to the park. Mimi probably knew this walk by heart, her walks were her favorite time of day, and she never got tired of smelling her favorite scents of other dogs. "There right there," Heidi exclaimed as she frantically pointed, towards the park. " You see that young man," " That's him, that's the one I think is being sent to spy over in our yard", " Boy doesnt he really look a lot like Matthew," Heidi also exclaimed. "What boy, Where did he go, I don't see anyone dear.", Michael desperately said. "He must be hiding, or he took off mighty quick when I pointed him out," Heidi said.
"Honey, how could he be completely out of sight, if he was out near the park," " Again, I'm very concerned, and seeing a doctor would probably be very helpful to you." Michael expressed desperate for his wife, to stop with this craziness already. "Now, I have been trying to be patient, but honey,I do not hear, or see any of these accusations, and the elderly people I do see have no interest in us, I can tell you that. " I mean, do you know how wacky this all sounds right now", Michael added sternly. " Now, when we get back, you are making a doctors appointment with Dr Stein, and I will not hear of anything else until then.", Michael sternly said.
