A Dangerous Meeting of Fate
Eloise’s POV
"Eloisé! Come here, you stupid slave.”
My master’s sharp voice cut through the noise. I flinched as he grabbed my arm, his grip painful.
"It’s your turn, don’t you dare embarrass me or there will be consequences, do you understand!?”
"Please," I whispered, my throat tightening. "I don’t want to go to the private room tonight. I’ll do anything else apart from it.”
A sharp slap stung my cheek. The pain immediately flared through my whole body like an electric shock.
"You will obey whatever I tell you to obey, slave," he hissed. "Or you’ll wish I had killed you instead."
Tears burned in my eyes, but I forced them back. Crying won't solve anything anyway. Not in a world like this one.
In this world, Lycans dominated everything.
All the major cities were under the rule of powerful packs.
Smaller towns were governed by smaller packs of wolves.
Humans were simply slaves to these creatures. Nothing more.
As for me, I was assigned to be a dancer at a lycan clubhouse. But all through, I only danced for common omegas and ordinary wolves.
What my slave master was asking now…
Exhaling with a shaky breath, I stabled my thoughts.
The club master threw me behind a curtain. It was the private room stage.
My bare feet barely made a sound against the polished stone floor as I approached the stage, bathed in crimson light.
The music immediately changed to something slower, more intimate.
My heart pounded as I began to raise my arms and move, my body flowing with the rhythm.
This wasn’t just an ordinary performance— I had to survive. Every step, every move I made had to be perfect; seductive, but not too desperate.
It should be tempting, that was the reason all these monsters came here by the way. To have enjoyment watching human girls dance.
I kept my eyes down. Never daring to meet the eyes of the powerful men who watched me dance. Their presence filled the room, heavy and dangerous.
I could feel their hunger, their eyes alone devouring me. But I focused on the dance, moving my body as I had been trained to do.
That was when I felt it.
A presence unlike any other that had ever walked in here.
It was cold and dark, overwhelming the whole atmosphere.
A chill crawled up my spine and my pulse stopped for a moment. My feet hesitated for a second before I forced myself to continue.
I didn’t need to look to know where the energy was coming from. It pressed against me like a storm rolling in— powerful. I couldn’t escape it no matter how I tried.
So I looked up from the floor and met a stranger's eyes from across the room
Instantly, I recognized him.
Axel Saint.
The Alpha of the Oxthorn Pack.
The most powerful man in Bleeding Rose Country.
He was well known— his pictures were everywhere. A cold, ruthless alpha who had more power than the entire country put together.
My skin prickled as I finished my dance, lowering my body into a bow. Silence followed. Then, a slow, deliberate clap echoed through the chamber.
I stayed still, waiting for the club master to tell me to finally leave as my work had already been done.
But fate had other plans for me though.
"Her," a deep voice echoed. "Bring her to me."
My stomach twisted. Before I knew what was happening, guards approached me.
They immediately grabbed my arms, dragging me off the stage as I was being taken to….Axel.
No.
Not him.
It could have been anyone but him.

I was taken through a set of heavy doors and forcefully thrown into a dark chamber.
The walls were made of stone, smelling with the scent of cedar and something else.
Something dangerous.
I held my hands closely together, struggling to steady my breath as the door creaked open behind me.
A shiver ran through me before I even turned. I knew who it was. I felt his presence before I could even lay my eyes on him.
The sensation spread across my skin, sharp and electric. I couldn’t understand what the hell was happening to me.
"Look at me," he ordered. His voice sent chills down my spine.
I swallowed hard, keeping my gaze on the floor.
"I—I can't look at you, sir.”
A long silence followed. The next thing I could hear was him moving closer. My breath quickened as he took slow, deliberate steps coming towards me.
Axel was a Lycan, and Lycans loved to toy with their prey. They fed on fear of others.”
"You're afraid," he said, his tone mocking. “I like the fact that you’re smart, you should be afraid.”
He said as he was closer to me. Now. Too close. My skin burned, but it wasn’t because of the fear, it was his presence on me.
My hands trembled at my eyes as I could feel his eyes on me, stripping me naked.
"Do you know who I am?” he asked.
"Yes…Yes, you’re the Alpha of the Oxthorn Pack, the most feared man in this city.” I whispered, my voice barely audible.
"Then you know what I could do to you."
I squeezed my eyes shut as I replied to him.
"Yes."
He exhaled a slow, amused sound. "And yet, you still stand. This should be very interesting.”
“You will call me Sir. You will not look me in the eye without my permission. You will not touch yourself unless I tell you to do so. You will not even have release without my permission.”
“Do you understand?” He asked, his voice filling the silence.
“Y-yes sir,” I responded, my voice quivering with fear and a weird feeling of excitement.
I was not supposed to feel excitement.
What was this feeling?
His fingers lifted my chin. My breath caught. A single touch sent my nerves igniting. Slowly, I let my eyes rise to meet his gaze.
For the first time, our eyes met.
The world seemed to stop.
A powerful force crashed into me. Fire and ice immediately surging through my veins. A gasp escaped my lips.
My body locked, unable to process what I was feeling. His expression shifted for a second, shock clearly visible on his face.
Then to my horror, he laughed. A dark, humorless sound that sent a chill through my veins.
I looked at him for a moment, my heart pounding. Why was he laughing? I asked myself.
There was no way I could move or even breathe. My world has just shattered and I didn’t even understand why.
Something immediately terrifying occurred to me.
Could Axel be my mate?...
His laughter faded, his eyes immediately darkening with something devious and cruel.
He leaned in to my ears, his voice a low whisper that made my blood run cold.
“D
don’t even think for a second that a weak human like you can ever be my mate bitch.”
