Let's get away
“Honey, are you ready yet ? We need to get going if we don't want to get stuck in the traffic.” shouts Tom from the dinning room. He seems annoyed. “Ok ok, I’m coming”, replies Adele while she applies her nude lipstick.
She glances at the mirror one last time, “perfect” she murmurs to herself. Getting up from her chair, she grabs her purse and heads to the entrance. As usual, Tom is on his phone talking to someone. She waves at him and goes straight to the car. She sits in the passenger seat and waits for him to end his call. Ten minutes later, Tom gets behind the steering wheel and starts the engine.
“It’s funny how you were in a hurry a few minutes ago but could find time to chit-chat for ten long minutes after that”, complains Allison. “I’m sorry honey, it was the office. I promise it won’t happen again” replies Tom flashing a bright smile. “ You’re ready to spend some time with your loving husband?Pouting, Adele nods. He leans in and gives her a little peck on the nose bringing a large smile to her face. “Well, I can’t wait to have you all to myself,” she grins.
Adele and Tom have been married for five years. Their eyes met while they were both in college. With her curly jet black hair falling down her waist and her curvy body, Adele has nothing to envy other girls. She had grey eyes and stood at 5 feet 2. She had pouty lips and her cheekbones were well defined. She had a beautifully skin-kissed tanned skin. She easily attracted anyone who crossed her path. But Tom was the one who caught her attention. He was this six feet tall blonde guy with the deepest green eyes she'd ever seen. He was lean and muscular and had a charming personality. He always knew how to make a woman feel special.
The moment they met, they became inseparable. After graduating, they got married right away as they wanting to start their own family. He joined an accounting firm while they decided that Adele would stay at home, take care of the house, their future kids and all. But after five years, there were no children in the horizon and Tom had drowned himself into work since a long time already. During the week, Adele often found herself alone in their big house, while during the weekend, he would go out to meet “his boys”. She could not even remember the last time that they had been intimate. She felt lonely and had tried to bring the subject up a few times with Tom but he would just brush off her concerns.
She had felt that he was distant but she still loved him and wanted to work things out with him. Lydia, her best friend had suggested to her that she organizes a little get away where they could spend some time together far from the routine of their lives. So she planned a little vacation, like a second honeymoon in this ski chalet in Belleayre. At first, Tom was hesitant to go away for a few days, but he saw how Adele looked hurt and he really wanted to please her.
After a three-hour drive, they finally reached the chalet.
