The Twin Alphas and the Deaf Rogue

I’m Meghan, daughter of Jamie White and stepdaughter of Hilda. My parents were banished from the NorthernMoon Pack, I never knew why but every time I asked, they’d try to change the topic. So I never asked them after that. It’s been seventeen years since we were banished. I'm the only deaf in my family, which it’s kind of rare for a werewolf to be deaf but somehow, I might be the first she-wolf with hearing loss. But I guess we’ll never know if there’s another deaf wolf. I lost my hearing when I was just ten years old. I got a serious sickness which caused me to lose my hearing. Werewolves aren’t supposed to be able to get sick or anything like that but not me. I can still remember some of the noises and my parents’ voices sounds like. My birth mother passed away, leaving me and my dad when I was very young, so I don’t have any memories of her. It was hard for me and my dad. But I have my best friend, that’s my stepmother. She took care of me, spoiled me with love, taught me how to do the skills and take care of myself. Hilda even taught me sign language so I can speak through my hands. My dad was struggling when my birth mother left, and I didn’t really remember anything but Helida told me all about her, how amazing, and how kind she was. I miss my mother. My dad said I looked like my mom, which made him happy to see her through me. I have long and brown hair in a simple messy braid. Big doe ocean blue eyes, mixed with my parents’ eyes. My dad has pure sky blue eyes while my mom’s were forestry green. My skin was tanned from working outside all day, and I have a small birthmark on my neck, it’s shaped like a heart. Just like my mom had. I was trying to hold my breath, hiding behind a very large tree, hoping those two wolves wouldn’t find me….I tried to hide my gasp when I saw a beautiful black large wolf in the distance. It was staring at me but never came to me. Then suddenly, two pairs of identical grey eyes staring at me from a distance before jumping at me. But they vanished as I felt the ground start to rumbling and c***k open as I fell through it. I woke up with a heavy breath, seeing my bed rumbling from my alarm’s vibrations. I tapped my alarm button ‘OFF’ to stop the vibrations. Geez, I had this nightmare for almost a month now. My bedroom light started to flickering, I looked up to see a familiar hairy hand tapping on the light switch to get my attention before coming into my room. I called out to dad to come in, dad stepped in. I was greeted by his sweet and tired smile. I flashed a smile similar to my own. I have slight dimples, unlike his deep dimples. Dad raised a hand, formed to shape B with fingers straight and with thumb over the palm. He raised the B shape over to his mouth then formed it to F, signing breakfast. I nodded, throwing the blanket off. He walked over to me and pulled me in a tight hug before walking out of the room. I threw fresh clothes on, then ran downstairs to the kitchen. Hilda smiled and waved when she noticed me, her long golden brown hair never cease to shine every time the sun reflected her hair. We lived in a small house, it was quite peaceful, I enjoyed waking up early to take care of the garden and animals. We don’t often get visitors, which was fine with me. I am going to turn 18 next week, and I’m so excited! And nervous! My parents always promised to take me to the Mate Ball that happens every year. It’s a biggest party that is usually held at different locations, all unmated werewolves go there, even rogues are allowed. But the rogues must have at least two guards with them all the time for safety. What if my mate doesn't like me? What if he’d reject me on that spot when he laid his eyes on me? While I was overthinking about my mysterious mate, Hilda tapped on my shoulder to get my attention. I looked up at her, seeing Hilda and dad excited. I wonder what they’re so excited about. Hilda signed so fast that I didn’t get what she said. ‘Can you try again? I didn’t quite get what you said?’ I signed slowly. Hilda blushed of embarrassment, dad and I chuckled at her embarrassment, then dad stepped up, capturing my attention, ‘What Hilda is trying to say is, since you are going to turn 18 next week, and getting your wolf, you may get to go on trips with us now!’ Dad signed excitedly and made a face to express how excited he was. I was so over the moon! I jumped out of my chair, eyes widened. ‘You’re not kidding?! I can come with you guys?!’ My hands took over big spaces to show that I was yelling through my hands, but in a really excited way. I never got to go on trips with them, not until I got my wolf! I’m so excited! After the big news, I ate my breakfast then went out to chop the woods. The excitement inside of me was ready to burst, but I kept it inside. I spent my entire week daydreaming of my wolf, wondering what she’d be like? Bold? Shy? Oh well, only the Goddess knows which wolf to pair with its partner. I’ve met my dad’s wolf and Hilda’s wolf, Danny and Asa so many times. Asa is so overprotective of me but I love her so much, while Danny is goofy and playful. “Good morning, Meghan!” 
 I woke up abruptly, looking around. Goddess, am I losing my mind or I just heard someone’s voice? A chuckle echoes in my head, “It’s just me! I’m your wolf.” Oh. My. Goddess! I can hear her! This is so cool! My wolf chuckled again and I blushed with embarrassment. My wolf yipped excitedly, then it was my turn to chuckle. ‘What’s your name?’ I asked with excitement, I can't wait to learn a lot of things about her. ‘It’s Ellie, what’s yours?’ My wolf replied excitedly, wagging her tail in my head. I smiled, sitting up on my bed as I responded back. ‘Cool! I’m Meghan!’ My lights flickered, I looked up to see my dad and Hilda holding a cake for me. Throwing my blanket off, I stood up and gave them a huge hug when they approached me. My dad pulled away, cupped my cheeks and ran his thumbs over my cheeks tenderly. I sighed peacefully, closing my eyes and leaning onto his touch. I opened my eyes again. Hilda excitedly signed, ‘Did you meet your wolf yet?’ ‘Yeah, I did!! Her name is Ellie!’ I fingerspelled my wolf’s name and then I told them I was able to hear my wolf’s voice, their eyes widened and smiled so hard that I was afraid their mouths would rip. I can hear a little bit, but I can’t hear voices, unless they're screaming right in my ear. All of a sudden, my parents froze. I looked up to see the small red light flashing four times before stopping on the corner of the wall. It’s a warning alarm. We don’t get it often, but when that happens, it means a rogue is in our area. What are they doing in our territory? ‘Go to the safe room, and don't come out until I let you know. I love you.’ Dad signed quickly before walking out of my room to grab his rifle. My dad can shift, but the bullets are made out of silvers that can easily injure a werewolf so it would be easier to kill the dangerous rogues with the silvers. Hilda quickly kissed my forehead, quickly signed ‘i love you’ before hurried to join him in case he needed help. She was so overprotective of me and my dad. I quickly changed into warm clothes, it was very cold outside, and it might snow any day now. I hurried down to the basement, where my dad and Hilda built a safe room for me. I quickly pushed the bookcase to the side, revealing a safe door, I grabbed the wheel and turned. The door opened, I quickly went in and closed the door. The ground rumbled slightly, letting me know that the bookcase had returned to its spot again. I couldn’t help but feel worried about my dad and Hilda. ‘Don’t worry, I’m here, Meghan.’ Ellie whispered, making my tense body rest slightly. The safe room had everything I needed, and there was a small window. It’s well hidden from outside but so I could tell if it was daytime or nighttime. The time has passed, it felt like hours to me but it was really only twenty minutes passed. But then I felt the ground rumble, I looked up at the door as it opened, but as soon as I saw who opened the door, I gasped loudly. A very large n***d man stared at me, my nose wrinkled from the disgusting smell that was coming from the man. His body was covered in mud and.. blood. 
 ‘Oh Goddess, please not my parents..’ I was frozen at my spot, unable to move a limb. My mind was screaming at my muscles to move right away but it never listened to my mind. But then, the man took a step, I flinched, moving backwards. The man’s mouth was moving, but I couldn’t understand what he said. But I know it wasn’t something good. He was grinning cockily, eyeing me as if I was a special prize. I tried to move away but he was too fast. He grabbed me by my neck. ‘Shift! Meghan, you’ll have to shift! Let me take over!’ Ellie was screaming in my head as I kicked his groin. He dropped me, reaching his groin in pain. I ran as fast as I could, I ran outside.. Then I froze to see my biggest nightmare coming true.
