Through Their Eyes

Chapter Two

Today was going to be a busy day for me and my pack. We are having the remaining Silver Star pack members join my pack. I felt bad for them as the rogues were going crazy lately attacking them. I couldn’t take it anymore as the Alpha was a good man who had helped my father over the years before he was killed in a rogue attack last year. They also lost their Beta and Gamma as well in their latest battle with the rogues. Their lead warrior, Sebastian, had come asking for help and that’s when we made the agreement for his remaining pack members to join my pack. As Alpha of the strongest packs in my country, I knew that I could protect them, plus having a strong warrior like Sebastian fighting alongside us we were stronger. I was standing alongside Sebastian at the house we had provided for him and his family. I understood that he had his mate Linda and their daughter. I glanced at Sebastian as he waited for his family to arrive I took in his appearance. He was tall, standing at least 6ft 4 with mouse-brown hair and piercing blue eyes. He was well built and he had kept himself in shape as his body didn’t show any fat. He had helped train our warriors when my father was Alpha. He stood there looking anxious as he waited for his family. “They will be here shortly, Sebastian, no need to be anxious,” I said putting my hand on his shoulder. “I know, wish that damn removal truck would hurry up, I’ll be fine when they are here are safe,” Sebastian said looking down the road yet again. “All of your pack will be safe and we will do the welcoming ceremony tonight and welcome everyone officially,” I said proudly as I stood there. “They will be here before the party starts”. My pack had been told of the merging of the other pack into ours at the beginning of the week, and there was some confusion as to why but they stood by me as their Alpha. I was lucky to have their support since taking over from my father when I was 18 a year ago. Since I shifted for the first time I have been looking for my mate, but not had any luck yet. I know that she’s not in my pack but she could be anywhere. My wolf has been pacing since I got up this morning. I’ve been trying to calm him down all day but he’s getting more excited. “What’s wrong with you, man,” I ask my wolf. “You need to chill Rowan, I’m getting a headache from your pacing.” “Well, I feel something good is going to happen today,” Rowan said as he continued to pace. “Maybe we will meet our mate today with the new people coming.” “Don’t get ahead of yourself there, you daft mutt,” before I noticed the moving van arrive onto my territory. Sebastian’s family were the last to arrive as the other families had arrived and had started to settle into their new homes. There was a maximum of 6 families that had arrived in the pack. There were a couple of girls but none were my mate. I greeted each family and I was tired but this was the last family so I could grab some sleep before the ceremony tonight. “Alpha Ethan, they have crossed the border into our territory,” one of my guards mind linked me. “Thank you, I will inform Sebastian,” I reply before turning to Sebastian. “They have crossed into my territory, they will be here shortly, Sebastian”. Sebastian straightened his back and nodded his head in reply. I could see the smile creep onto his face as he saw for himself the moving van come towards us. “Thank you for helping my pack, Alpha,” Sebastian said before walking towards the car that followed the van. I straightened my back as I stretched before following Sebastian to the car to welcome his family. My wolf was howling by this point that he was trying to take control, but I managed to keep him under control as I still didn’t know why he was acting this way. “Mate, mate, our mate is in that car,” my wolf screamed in my head. “We need to see our mate”. “Shush, head’s pounding now, Dylan,” I said to him as I walked towards the car. As I watched Sebastian open the driver’s door to pull his mate out of the car before spinning her around in the air and planting kisses all over her face. I stopped in my tracks as the most amazing smell hit me and encircled me knocking the wind out of me. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes as I took in the smell of oranges and chocolate. I opened my eyes as I saw the most beautiful girl step out of the passenger’s side of the car. I couldn’t move as she ran around the car and into her father’s arms for him to spin her around as well. I couldn’t help it but I heard a growl leave my mouth as they all stopped what they were doing and stared at me. My wolf was howling in excitement as I stared at her. “MATE!” Rowan shouted loudly.
