Chapter Three

Mum had woke me up just as we approached the border to our new home. I rubbed my eyes as I took in my new surroundings and saw lots of trees along both sides of the road. As I was looking out my mum’s window she was smiling. She was in contact with my dad and she started to bounce slightly in her seat the nearer we got to our destination. As we saw the van ahead of us stop, my mum slowed the car down before bringing it to a stop right behind the van. I saw my dad rush around to my mum’s side of the car as she opened the door. I was laughing when he scooped my mum up and spun her around kissing her all over her face. I sat there for a minute before I unbuckled my seatbelt and opening the door. As I opened the door I saw a guy start following my dad before he suddenly stopped. I have to admit he was hot with a capital H. He had black curtains covering his eyes. When he moved his hair he had the most amazing green eyes that would make you melt into a freaking puddle. No kidding!! He was tanned and he was toned to the heavens as his muscles stretched the sleeves of his black shirt. The top two buttons were undone which showed a hint of his amazing toned chest. I bit my lip as I have never seen anyone like that before in my whole fecking life. Sorry I got carried away. He must have been my age maybe one or two years older than me at least. He stood straight as he looked like he was sniffing the air. I grudgingly tore my eyes away from this magnificent man as I got out of the car and running around the front of the car into my dad’s arms. “Hey, there’s my baby girl,” my dad said as he scooped me into a massive bear hug. “Dad, can’t breath,” I gasped as he held me. Just as he was about to let me go he straightened and glanced at the guy I was ogling. “Linda and Alexandra this is the Alpha Ethan,” my dad said as he put me down and turning towards the Alpha. “Alpha Ethan, this is my wife Linda and my daughter Alexandra.” The Alpha stood there like he was in a trance. He was even better looking the closer he was to us. “Sorry, it is very nice to meet you both,” Alpha Ethan said as he shook my mum’s hand. When he took my hand he stared into my eyes and I couldn’t help but stare back. “Alexandra, that’s such a lovely name.” “T-t-thank you, Alpha Ethan, it is really nice to meet you. As I looked into his eyes I saw something pass that looked like realisation of something. I quickly let go of his hand and tore my eyes away from his. I was suddenly nervous so I did what most people do when they are nervous I looked down to study my shoes. After what seemed like an eternity of no one talking the Alpha cleared his throat before he straightened his back and smiling to my parents. “Welcome to the Golden Moon pack, I hope that you will be able to make yourselves comfortable before we do the welcoming ceremony later this evening. My pack is now you pack. I’m sorry but I’m being called away to some business if you excuse me.” He shook my dad’s hand and smiled at my mum before turning back to me, “Alexandra, I hope we will bump into each other soon.” He smiled before grabbing my hand and planting a light kiss on the back of it before he turned and walked back the way he had come. I just stood staring at his retreating back and couldn’t help but check out his backside. I know but you can’t say that no teenage girl doesn’t check a guy’s butt out. “Get a grip he’s probably already found his mate and he was just being polite,” I scolded myself. I hoped he didn’t have a mate that way I might be in with a chance when I shift on my birthday. I know I know wishful thinking. I shrug my shoulders as I follow my parents to our new home. I was surprised when I stood outside of the new house, trying to stay out of the mover’s way as I took in the twostorey house in front of me. I saw the wrap around porch and the homely feeling it sent out to people. I walked up the steps and walked into a decent sized hallway. The stairs leading upstairs were to the right of the entranceway, the kitchen was huge. I mean you could have put all of the pack in here. The sides were marble and everything was modernised. Across from the kitchen was the sitting room and that was modern as well. “That goes in the sitting room on the right,” my mum was saying to movers as she directed where the furniture was to go. “Alexandra, go upstairs and tell the guys up there where you want your stuff please,” my mum shouted to get my attention. “Right, I’m going,” I mutter under my breath as I slide up the bannister as I head towards my room. “Mum, what room is mine? Can I get the master bedroom for a change?” I mind link my mum. “You certainly can not that’s mine and your dad’s room, yours is the last door on left. You’ll love it. Dad is saying you will love it.” My mum replied. “OK,” I mumble as I headed towards my new bedroom. I go to grab the handle when the door swings open as a mover comes out of the room. I get a glimpse of the light green walls as he moves past. I walk in and my dad was right I loved it. It was massive with floor to ceiling windows on either side of a set of French-doors which opened to my own little balcony. I squealed in delight as I ran to the doors and swung them open. I stood on the balcony and looked at the scenery that greeted me. We were on the edge of the forest and it was so quiet. I closed my eyes and savoured the peaceful feeling that washed over me. I love nature and this was surreal. I turned back into my room and walked towards the two doors that were beside each other. The left one opened to a gorgeous black and white tiled bathroom. I gasped when I saw the bath as it was one of those jacuzzi baths that I have wanted in like forever. I couldn’t wait to try out the bath but I wanted to see where the other door led to. I walked out of the bathroom already imagining myself soaking in a hot bubble bath. The other led to a walk-in closet and what girl doesn’t want a walk-in closet? Am I right? You know what I mean. The bath quickly was replaced by the amount of shopping I’m going to have to do to fill my closet. I was jumping around that the movers probably thought I was going mad. “You like it princess?” my dad asked me from the doorway. “The Alpha had asked what would be best for the decorating when I met him the other day. I told him what was your favourite and this is the result.” “It’s amazing, dad, I love it,” I said as I flung my arms around his waist giving him the strongest squeeze I could. “Just need to unpack,” as I suddenly realised that all the boxes of everything I own were all over the place. “By the way, is it alright if I go shopping tomorrow as I need to fill that closet.” “Baby, you’ve already got too many clothes, shoes and everything else I’m sure you will already have that filled by the time you finish unpacking,” my dad chuckled as he kissed me on my forehead before turning and leaving me to start my unpacking. I got my Bluetooth speaker out of my bag and grabbed my phone to put some of my favourite music on. I am totally loving the 50s and 60s style of music. I crank up the volume as I start to unpack. As I was unpacking I suddenly realised that I had been unpacking for ages and I didn’t have anything to wear for tonight’s welcoming ceremony. “MUM!” I scream through our link. “I NEED HELP!!” My mum burst through my bedroom door with my father following right behind her. “What is it? What’s wrong?” My mum asked looking panicked. “I don’t have anything to wear for the welcoming ceremony tonight. I can’t go shopping now as it’s too late,” I whine. “Honey we thought someone was murdering you! Don’t do that again. Come with me I’ve got a surprise for you.” My mum said placing her hand over her heart and trying to calm down. My dad was red in the face looking seriously annoyed. “Don’t scream like that again young lady,” my dad said annoyed. I suddenly felt guilty that I had caused my parents to panic over nothing. I look down ashamed as I saw them both try and calm their wolves. “Sorry,” I whisper as I keep looking down at the floor. “You gave us a scare, next time you shout make sure it’s for something serious like k********g or murder,” they both said as my dad left the room to go for a run to calm down both him and his wolf. My mother smiled a little and wrapped her arms around my shoulders as she guided me out of my room and down the hall to their bedroom. When we got inside her room she made me sit on the edge of her bed as she went into her own closet and came back out with a largish box which she handed me as she sat down beside me. “I have kept this as I hoped my daughter would wear it when she found her mate. I wore this dress when I first met your dad and now since this is a new pack and a new beginning for us, I want you to have it. I was saving it for your birthday but tonight is a better occasion.” “Mum, thank you, you saved my life tonight,” as I gave her a sideways hug. I lifted the lid to the box and peeled back the white tissue paper which protected the dress from damage. My jaw literally hit the floor when I saw the dress. My mum stood and gently lifted the top of the dress up so it was in full splendour. “Mum, it’s beautiful.” I gasped as I took in the halter neck dress that was definitely something I would love to wear. The dress was a 50s style but the top was like a mix of blues ranging from sky blue to midnight blue. The bottom half was a full skirt which would hit my knees and it was full with a few layers of tulle underneath. The halter neck was made out of white lace over a sweetheart neckline and looked delicate I was afraid it would break if I touched it. I stood up and took the dress from mum and walked over to her full-length mirror and held the dress up against me. I was so in love with this dress and I loved how it made my eyes shine. “Mum, you sure I can wear this?” I asked as I turned around to face my mum. I saw tears falling down her cheeks as she looked at me with her dress against me. “It suits you beautifully and if your mate is there tonight, you will knock his socks off,” My mum said as she came up to me and wrapped her arms around me. “Now I think it’s time we started getting ready as she wiped the tears and wiped her hands on her jeans. “Thank you, mum,” I said as I started running to my room to start getting ready for the welcoming ceremony. But first I’ve got to try out my new bathtub.
