Chapter Eight

I left Alex’s house with a spring in my step. How I am in such a good mood you ask? Well, wouldn’t you be in a good mood after spending the night with your mate? Of course, you would. I was still thinking of her actions this morning. I smiled to myself as I had woken up before her this morning and it felt great having her in my arms. When she first started waking up I pretended to be asleep. I felt her move trying to get up but I tightened my arms around her keeping her where she was. I felt her explore with those delicate hands of hers and I had to keep still or she would’ve stopped her exploring. I mean imagine having a girl that you love in your arms, guys, and her exploring you with her hands, it would be very embarrassing wouldn’t it? Anyway, Her hands gently caressed my chest and stomach but she accidentally tickled me making me move. After she had decided I was still asleep she then traced along my jaw and lips and then she played with my hair. Oh man, let me tell you it was very exciting for me. I couldn’t stop smiling as she ran up the stairs, that’s when I decided I was in desperate need of a shower myself as I was still wearing what I had on last night. I wanted to go join her but I needed to be patient until she turns 18. I left as soon as I lost sight of her, I bent and slipped my feet back into my shoes and left her house quietly as I didn’t really want to wake her parents up. “Why did you leave our mate?” Rowan asked pacing. “We left as we would scare her and we need her to be comfortable enough around us. If it takes 100 cold showers till she realises then that’s what we have to do.” I sighed back. I didn’t believe what I had told my wolf as I wanted nothing more than to claim her and mark her as soon as I saw her yesterday. I reached the pack-house saw everyone sitting around the kitchen eating breakfast. I sat down beside my Beta and the housekeeper placed a full plate of bacon, sausages and pancakes down in front of me. I didn’t realise how hungry I was until I saw the food. I got stuck in and not listening to anyone till my plate was cleared. “Hey, dude, where did you get to last night. After your announcement you just disappeared,” Zack asked nudging me in the shoulder. “Plus you were gone the whole night.” I looked at Zack as he had a smirk on his face. I could tell by the look in his eyes he thought that I had my wicked way with Alex. “Gentlemen don’t kiss and tell,” I laughed quietly and nudged him back. “When have you ever been a gentleman?” Zack asked me and winked. “Seriously nothing happened,” I said through gritted teeth. Zack held his hands in the air to surrender. “But, dude, you better go and get a shower, I can smell you from here.” “It’s a lovely smell as I lifted my arm and took a whiff and then proceeded to shove it into Zack’s face. “Man you seriously stink,” Zack groaned trying to move my arm away from him. I laughed as I kicked the chair out from under him as I stood to put my plate in the sink. “Come on, give me a break,” Zack groaned while he stood up from where he fell on to the ground. I was still laughing as I left the kitchen when I bumped into the one person I did not want to meet today. I stopped laughing and looked at Venus as she was way to close again. I looked at what she was wearing as she had a skirt on that barely covered her backside and a top that was so tight, nothing was left to the imagination. She had layered loads of make-up on and looked idiotic. “Good morning Ethan,” she purred as she ran her hands around my waist. “Where did you get to last night? I missed you. I need you to do me a favour and get that tramp banished from the pack. She slapped your mate and embarrassed you in the process since we are mates.” I growled loudly that the people that were still in the kitchen stopped what they were doing and were now watching us. I grabbed her arms and pulled them away from me. “Don’t touch me,” I snarl at her. She just stood there batting her eyelids at me. Man, this chick just will not give up. “Can I kill her please?” Rowan asked trying to get control. I felt my eyes turn black as I looked into that painted face. “We can’t Rowan as she will know her place soon.” “Venus if you ever touch me again or even mention my mate again, I will personally kick your butt out of the pack. Did you not learn your lesson last night? Let me make this very very clear to you, you are never going to be my mate or Luna of this pack. I have my mate and she is your future Luna.” I shout in my Alpha tone as I tried to keep Rowan under control. “Yes Alpha,” Venus said bowing as she had to submit to my Alpha status. “Good I hope never have to tell you again,” I said normally as I pushed her and headed up to my room and a shower. When I got into my room I started taking last night’s clothes off when I caught the scent of oranges and chocolate which made me relax a little. I smiled as I remember Alex’s smile and how cute she was when she had fallen asleep on me. I decided that I better have a cold shower as I was way too excited with my thoughts of Alex. As I showered and dried I went into my closet and grabbed a pair of black jeans and a long-sleeved purple jumper. I push the sleeves up to my elbows and ran my hands through my still wet hair. I lay on my bed and thought of Alex as I slowly fell asleep. I must’ve had a couple of hours of sleep when Zack knocked on my door. “Alpha, the Warrior Sebastian is in your office as he would like a word about training and about his daughter.” “Thanks, Zack I will be there shortly,” I reply as I sit up and throw my legs over the edge of my bed. I rub my hands over my face as I pat myself down before I leave my bedroom and head towards my office. I was slightly nervous when I walked into my office and found Sebastian sitting on one of the chairs in front of my mahogany desk. “Good day, Sebastian,” I say as I extend my hand, “What can I do for you?” “Alpha Ethan I would like to talk to you about when the members that joined your pack will begin to train and also another matter.” “Sebastian the new members can begin their training in the morning and we will see what they are capable of,” I said respectfully. “Thank you Alpha, I will let them know after we have finished here.” I looked at the man in front of me and the power that radiated off of him and I knew he was going to be a great help with our training and warriors. “Now what is the other thing you would like to talk about?” I asked even tho I knew what the answer was going to be. “I would like to know your intentions towards my daughter,” Sebastian said leaning forward in his seat. I have to admit I was slightly intimidated when he did that. “Sir, My intentions are pure towards your daughter. The first time I saw her when she arrived here I knew she was my mate. I have been waiting for my mate since I was 18. I promised that I would save everything for her,” I stopped and held my breath as he sat still and listened to what I was saying. “I intend to wait till her 18th birthday before I do anything about the mate bond, but with your permission, I would like to get to know your daughter over the next while up till her birthday. That is if you would allow me to.” We sat there in silence for a while as he thought about what I have said so far. He moves so he can place his clasped hands on my desk. “I will give my consent as I know you will keep your word as a man and as an Alpha. I have a few questions first that may make you uncomfortable but I would like you to answer them if you would allow it.” “Sebastian, I would answer any questions that you may have. Ask away,” I said feeling nervous about these questions. I hold my breath as he tents his fingers and places them up to his mouth. “Would you always be there for my daughter?” “Yes,” both I and Rowan said at the same time. Rowan had come to the front so he could answer the questions as well to Sebastian’s wolf, Dylan. Sebastian looked at me before he nodded and then asked his next question. “Will you love and honour my daughter?” We both reply together again, “Yes.” “Will you treat her the way she deserves?” “Yes” “Will you treat her as your equal and not degrade her?” “Yes.” The questions went on for a while and I was getting tired and Rowan was getting restless. Sebastian saw this and he was even getting tired from this question and answer session. “I’m sorry Alpha for all the questions. Alex is my baby girl and I have a final question to ask. Do you love and keep loving Alex?” “Warrior Sebastian I give my word as both your Alpha and as a man I will now and for always love Alex. She is my everything. I hope I have satisfied your anxiousness with my answers,” I say standing up from my chair. “Alpha you will be doing the same when you have pups one day, but not too soon, please, I’m not ready to be a grandfather yet.” Sebastian had also stood as he grabbed me into a hug. “Go and win my daughter’s heart, young Alpha.” I grin as Sebastian leaves my office leaving me alone. “Zack, the members will start their training tomorrow and we will see what the can do and place them accordingly.” “Of course, Alpha,” Zack replied. It’s the only time we are formal with each other and that’s when we are discussing pack business or on trips to visit other Alphas. I sit back down in my big black leather office chair and lean back as my mind drifts to Alex and how I can get to know her better. We will know each other at school as we go back next week. I smile and close my eyes as I will be her friend and be there when she needs me no matter what. I sit up and start planning how and catching up on the pack business that I had ignored the last few days.
