Chapter 11 - Alpha Command

Alexandria POV

I woke up minutes ago but I don’t want to open my eyes, I’m sleeping on something soft and comfy, it’s so cozy and I just want to snuggle deeper into his fur, enjoying the tingles that’s all over my body.

I know Rex and I had a rough start but if I can sleep like this every day, feel that good, then it’s all forgiven and forgotten… who am I kidding? I forgave him the very next day, but this definitely makes up for it.

“Okay Rex, I’m up, stop licking my face” I say giggling, yes I giggle sometimes.

I open my eyes and I see that the sun is up, seems like we have been sleeping since yesterday.

“Are you okay?, you scared me yesterday, I thought I was going to lose you” I say emotionally, running my fingers through his fur.

“I’m fine, don’t cry, love” I hear Derek say, I guess I was crying… wait… how the f**k did I hear Derek’s voice when I’m snuggling into Rex?

“Did you just mind link me?” I say jolting up and looking around for some reason, as if Derek will jump out of the closet or something, but he is right in-front of me, I mean Rex is, and they are one, I think I’m going crazy.

Rex shifts into Derek and he looks as confused as I am.

“Alexandria” I hear his voice again but his lips aren’t moving.

“Oh my god, you just mind linked me, how the f**k is that possible, I mean only the strongest hunters can but it drains the s**t out of them and it would be just a word or something” I say kinda freaking out but also excited, it’s like gaining a super power or something… this is f*****g cool.

“Yes, it is very cool” Derek mind-link me again with a smug smirk on his face… did he just hear my thought?

“How did you know I thought of that?”,

“Because you mind linked me, love” he mind links me again, no I didn’t, did i?

“Okay, honey… start moving your lips coz it’s getting confusing”,

“It’s okay Mate, you’ll get used to it but I’m so damn happy that we are able to do that… image all the secret conversations that we will have” Derek says coming to wrap his arms around my waist.

“hey, let’s keep that a secret for a little while and freak the hell out of the guys, we can make them think you can read minds or something” Derek says with an evil smirk on his lips.

“Derek, that’s so childish… I love it”,

“Alpha, Luna… are you up?”Dylan says from behind the door and Derek goes to open it in all his naked glory.

“Yes Dylan, we are up”,

“You definitely are Derek, wear some freaking pants, your d**k is going to poke me in the eye” Dylan says in disgust, I guess little Derek is up too.

“What do you want Dylan?” Derek asks as he puts his sweat pants on.

“The guardians are here and they want to see their sister” he says annoyed, more like angry, what’s up with that.

Derek puts a shirt on and we head to where my brothers are, last time I saw them, I kicked them out of the pack because I thought they are taking my father’s side after what he did, well, after what I thought he did.

“Alexandria, are you okay?” Jacob says worriedly, and I can see the worry on Jensen’s face as well, they look like they want to approach me but don’t know if they are allowed especially after our last conversation.

“Yes, I’m feeling great actually… you can hug me if you want?” I say opening my arms to them and they don’t hesitate as they engulf me in their big arms and I almost disappear in their hug.

“Baby sis, we were so worried when Max called us” Jensen says.

“Are you sure that you are okay? You don’t feel any pain or anything?” Jacob asks checking me out for any injuries as if what happened to me will cause any.

“No, but I can mind link with Derek” I say all thrilled.

“Hey, we said we’ll keep it a secret” Derek says with a scowl,

“Sorry, I’m just so excited” I say almost jumping like a little girl, but they don’t look surprise, they actually all share a look like they know something we don’t.

“What’s going on here?” Derek is the one to ask, and my brothers explain their theories, which are… f*****g awesome, it's obviously the last theory because both of us are fine now.

I wonder what I’m going to get from Derek other than mind linking, and what will he get from me, I really have nothing special to offer.

“Okay, let’s test if it’s only Derek who I can mind link or”,

“Dylan is mad at me” Sophia cuts me off through mind-link before i could even finish the sentence.

“oh, I heard that, Derek , I heard that, oh my god , I can mind-link anyone” I say jumping up and down and they all laugh except Sophia who is glaring at me with her arms crossed,

“Heard what Alexandria?” Max asks, and I don’t know if I should answer, Sophia is confusing me.

“It must be Sophia, I mean just look at her” Dean says chuckling and Sophia glares at him now.

“Wait a second, what the hell is that?” Sophia shouts and everyone freeze,

“Is that an engagement ring? Oh my goddess it is” Sophia squeals and rushes to me, almost yanking my arm out of it’s socket so she can have a closer look at the ring, I guess with all what happened yesterday no one noticed it.

I look around and Derek looks like he is proud of himself, everybody is smiling and congratulating us except for the hunters in the room,

“Well, I guess it was inevitable” Max says faking a smile, extending a hand to shake Derek’s in his sorry ass attempt in congratulating us, Derek reluctantly shakes max’s hand and then Max leaves without even a smile in my direction, is he mad at me?

“Derek stronghold, we made you alpha” Jensen says switching into Full guardian mode, he even got his hoodie up, so is Jacob, their eyes slightly glowing and I can hear Derek gulp, yes, my brothers has that effect on him.

“We thought you were worthy, and you have proven us right” Jacob joining in the guardian dual mode.

“But hurt her” Jensen says as they both take a step closer to him, it’s actually kinda entertaining to see the small beads of sweat forming on Derek's forehead.

“And we will come for you” both my brothers say in a dark tone and all Derek can do is slightly nod.

“Congratulation baby sis” Jacob says hugging me like he was not just threatening the life of my fiancé, switching modes like that is a family treat.

“If you need anything, you know how to reach us” Jensen says hugging me too before they both disappear into thin air.

“Are you okay?” I ask Derek.

“Puff, I’m totally fine, they don’t scare me” an obvious lie.

It’s been days now, Derek and I are living a semi honeymoon phase to the point that we actually sometimes forget about the king and Carter.

Max is still avoiding me and we still didn’t talk about why he is acting like a little s**t.

We are all sitting around the kitchen counter trying to feed the babies aka the Alexs, when we hear a commotion coming from downstairs and head to where the noise is coming from, we see Bella, Dean’s friend in a yelling match with one of Dean’s fan girls .

“Oh f**k! Derek make them stop, please, if I interfere, it will only make things worse” Dean pleads.

“No,no little brother, I'll just let this play out as long as it makes you uncomfortable, that’s the least you deserve for being the man w***e that you were deedee” Derek teases as we all watch the yelling match.

“Have some f*****g dignity, he found his mate” Bella yells, I like this girl, she is decent and she’ll be good for Max, i know they are like f**k bodys but maybe they can be more.

“I was just going to ask the beta about something” the girl answers annoyed.

“Really? In a trench coat which I guess you have nothing else underneath it, at his bedroom?” Bella mocks, a trench coat? Talking about cheap clichés.

“What is it to you Bella? You want to be the only one f****d by him or something” the girl seethes.

“I’m not a slut like you, you f*****g w***e” Bella is angry and I’m afraid it’s going to turn physical soon.

“I’m not a slut you b***h” the girl screams as she launches toward Bella but before anyone interferes I do.

“STOP” and both immediately stop and bow their heads to me slightly baring their necks .

“Alexandria, did you just alpha command them?” Derek ask and I look around to a stunned crowd, I guess I did?
