The Alphas' Chimaera

Chimera

"Chimera?" i ask confused. "A chimera is someone who has two types of DNA. Basically to keep it simple you are two people wrapped in one." Doc says and it does not ease the confusion. "How is this possible?" Elias asks. "Well there are two know ways that a chimera can form: 1) Kassandra was a twin and her twin dies early enough to allow her to still absorb the twins DNA and 2) Her mother received a bone marrow transplant during early pregnancy." 

Both Possibilities were unknown to me. My mother never mentioned me having a twin in the womb and i was never told about any transplant. "Why are we only finding about about it now?" i ask Doc she sighs and shrugs. "I can't tell you that. But i can contact other pack clinics to see if they have ever come across any thing similar to this. But i can only imagine that since today is your 16th birthday and your wolf is trying to come out that you might actually have two wolfs. " Doc offers an explanation.

Elias shakes his head. " you're telling me that my mate might have two wolfs inside of her?" Elias asks getting angry. "I'm not sure what i am telling you Alpha. I can only offer theories to why she now has 2 mates and since I'm not the Moon Goddess, nor have i seen anything like this i cannot give you any 100 percent definite answers." 

Her words seem to only enrage Elias more. "Doc do you have any news on my parents?" i ask hoping for good news. "Your fathers surgery was a success but your mother hasn't awoken yet. everything seems fine but we are still monitoring them. I suggest that the three of you guys sit down with  the pack priestess to see if she can help shed light on the situation. " Doc tries to give us a reassuring smile before leaving Elias and i alone in the room.  

"Happy Birthday Kassandra." he says trying to lay a hand on me. I push his hand away and this seems to anger him. "That girl was all over you, i don't feel like being touch by where she touched you." i tell him as the pain in my chest increases. "I'm sorry..." he begins but trails off. he knows there is no right way to tell me that he didn't expect me to be his mate and that she was nothing but a toy to him. i know this but i can't make myself feel this. 

"Call me Kass..." i tell him he seems to light up a little. "Kass it is then. you can call me Eli if you would like. Only my parents call me that but i would love for you to as well." i nod and bring my legs up to my chest. "would you like to get some rest? i can prepare one of the empty bed rooms for you?" Elias asks i only offer a nod before he leaves the room. 

'Hello?' i suddenly hear in my head causing me to jump. It's a female voice 'Hi!" a second female voice chirps up. "Whats going on?" i ask myself aloud? " I'm your wolf, Alexis!" the first voice says "I am also you're wolf, Jessica." the second voice follows. "how do i have two?" i ask and i can feel they both shrug. "So who will i turn into tonight?" i ask and again a shrug. they are clueless as i am on this whole situation. 

"Who are you talking to Kass?" James asked peaking his head through the door. "My wolves.." i say slightly embarrassed. "Wolves?" he asks confused. "Yeah, turns out i am a chimera. i have two wolves." i tell him not very confident in my reply. 'MATE!' Jessica yells at the top of her lungs. 'No, Elias is our mate." Alexis retorts. This only adds more confusion to the situation. My wolves are fighting over the Alphas and they are fighting over me. "Is being 16 and discovering you wolf this confusing for everyone or just me?" i ask myself. "Just you it seems. I only had one voice pop into my head the day i turned 16." James said make me blush even more in embarrassment not realizing i asked that question aloud. James moves closer to hug and try to comfort me and i don't decline i could use the comfort, at least he was all over a girl the second after we met. 

"Mate." Jessica purrs and Alexis goes into a full force frenzy and it physically hurts. it's like the worst headache i have ever had. i let out a huge scream and squeeze me head in my hands. Alexis and Jessica are fighting each other in my head. James backs away and the doors slam open. i am in to much pain to actually see who it is. 

"James what did you do to my mate?" It was Elias. " Nothing, i hugged  MY MATE, and she stated to scream like she was in the worst pain in her life." James says. Them yelling at each other does not help the increasing head i feel. "Stop it both of you." i say through gritted teeth. "If you guys cared you would stop this fighting and help me." i say trying to calm the storm in my head. 

They both approach me and lay a hand on each of my shoulder. the pain subsides and and i feel like i can breathe. Both of them are far away from each other happy to have their mate. i lay on the hospital bed utterly exhausted from the pain. "What happened?" Elias asked.

i close my eyes trying to forget about what just happened and shield the light from me. " James hugged me and Jessica was happy and Alexis got mad and Jessica and they started to fight over who was my mate." i say as quickly as possible. i can feel they both of them scowling at each other blaming on another for the pain i am in. 

"That room is ready for you back a the house." Elias says trying to speak quietly. i move to sit up and both of them grab at me. "This is my land James and unless you want to get kicked off step back." James sighs in defeat and backs away. Weird he usually puts more of a fight judging from the last 3 hours of knowing him. 

Elias picks me and tries to carry me but Alexis and Jessica go back at it again and the pain intensifies all over again. "Elias sets me back on the bed and they both start to glare. James come close and i hold my hands out telling them both to stop. 

"It only doesn't hurt when you guys are either both touching me or not touching me at all. " i saw and they both hold their heads in defeat. " Until we can this sorted you two need to get along, it hurts when you guys fight." i say standing on my own and trying to walk out. they both run to either side of me and allow me to use them to support myself aid in my walking venture.
