Chapter 8

I looked at him like he was crazy. "Alright....That's one," I pointed up my pointer finger. "Wanna try this again and tell me the truth?"

Theo looked dumbfounded. "Why would I lie about something like that?"

I scoffed "Hmm..lets see. Maybe because you lied about coming to the party to find a mate? You lied to me once why should I trust you now?" I questioned.

"Look...I had no other choice. You wouldn't have come with me if you knew what I was really there for, It was easier this way." He tried to explain. I crossed my arms hugging myself tightly.

"Yeah....maybe for you." I looked away from him. This shouldn't make me feel cheated but it did. For a little while I was happy to be wanted by someone. Now finding out it wasn't true hurt me and I hated that it hurt. I barely knew this man, yet knowing that he wasn't there for me that night stung.

Theo stood up from the bed and rubbed the back of his neck. "Look...there is more you need to know. When your all healed come find me. I'll try my best to explain," and with that he walked out.

God I wanted to yell and scream. Left and right I was being lied to and manipulated. I felt a surge of energy from within me build up until I couldn't hold it in anymore. I screamed and the bedroom started to shake and all the glass started breaking around me. I covered my face with my arms. I peeked out of the space between my hands. Glass had shattered all over the floor.

Luna came back with a tray of food,"Alright hun, so I got you some kelp soup and fried fish. Now if you don-" She paused, and she covered her mouth with her hand. "Wha...What happened in here?" She tip toed over the glass and set the tray on the table.

I stared at the glass. Did I do this? "I..uh.." I couldn't manage to say anything else as I was bewildered. Luna stared at me and then the floor.

She then took a broom and a dust pan from behind the door. "Alright..uh..I'm just gonna clean this. Don't get up, the last thing you need is to get glass in your feet." She quickly swept up the glass and put it into a trash bin.

Luna wiped her hands together and then wiped them on her dress. She glanced at the tray of food and brought it to me. "Alright you just eat and I will be back in a little bit to check on you." She hurried for the door and closed it.

What in the world just happened?..

-Luna POV-

I hurried down the hall. I needed to speak with him about what just happened. That poor girl. I don't know how but something has changed within her. I could see it.

I turned the last corner of the hall and got to the big golden doors. They were heavy but thankfully I didn't have to push them open. The golden doors slowly opened from the inside. The guards already knew who I was and trusted me.

I walked passed the silver armored guards into the room and bowed my head before them. "Thank you kind sirs," they bowed in return. This room was huge. The theme was blue and gold. He seemed to take a liking to that color combination.

"Oh please Theo show me again!" Oh lord not her again. I walked further into the room and Theo was entertaining Delilah on the steps before the kings chair.

"Alright but after this I have duties to attended to," Theo circled one hand over his faced up palm and soon water started to circle within it. Delilah jumped up and down clapping her hands.

"Oh I've never had a mate who could that!" She jumped into his arms and kissed him. Lord knows how much I disliked this girl. She was everything Theo was not. I sighed and walked over to them.

"Theo where is your father? I need to speak with him." Theo ended their embrace. His face was red. He cleared his throat,"I think he went out to do an errand. He left me in charge." Delilah butted in and pushed her self under Theo's arm. "Um don't you mean he left US in charge?" She blinked her eyes rapidly. Theo rolled his eyes and got up. "No I meant me," He closed the distance between us. "Theo...Id rather talk to your father about this." I replied in a hush tone.

"Well he isn't here, you can tell me and ill relay the message to him." I looked at Theo cautiously.

"No I'll wait til he gets back.." I turned to leave but got jerked backwards.

"Luna you don't need to act like that. I'm old enough to know things that are difficult to handle," Theo replied in a soft voice. Delilah had set her sights on the kings chair and was admiring it.

I put my hand on Theo's cheek,"My sweet boy...I know how grown you are. Don't you forget I raised you. Remember?"

Theo smiled "Of course I remember. Your the closes thing I have to a mother." He then kissed my hand. " I'll let father know you have something to tell him when he gets back." I nodded in reply and walked back out the golden doors to the care unit were Faleen was staying. Hopefully there was no more broken glass...

-Faleen POV-

I looked at my hands. I was shaking. What the hell just happened. "Ouch!" I held my chest were the pearl was and it was burning up again. "Dad..what the hell did you give me.." I thought to myself. How do I get this thing to stop burning. Thinking back, it was the water that had stopped it from burning.

I have to get out of here and back into the water. I tried to scoot myself off the bed but my abdomen was still in pain. With a grunt I pushed myself to stand up and walk towards the door. I leaned against the door before opening it.

I stuck my head out and no one was guarding me. "Huh..crapping security.." I started to speed walked down the hall. How was I gonna find my way out of here.

"Don't forget the wet cloths too, I need them in unit 5." Oh no..that was Luna's voice. I did a one sixty and started down another part of the hallway in the opposite direction.

God this place was huge, way too may hallways and doors. This was a care unit after all though. I stopped once I got to a dark blue door. No more hallways and no more turns just a dead end. "What in the world..." It was shimmering and had no door nob. I reached my hand out to touch it and my hand disappeared through it.

I quickly retracted my hand. Maybe this was the way out but...what was holding the water back from coming in if i went out. I decided to take the chance, the pearl had intensified it's burning. I closed my eyes and walked through the door hoping I did not make a reckless decision.

-Theo POV-

I finally got out of Delilah's grabby hands. I was thankful to have time to myself now. Yesterday and Today had been exhausting.

I walked into the care unit and stopped at unit 5. I glanced at it I already went in there once and that was by accident looking for Luna but I felt bad for this girl. Her family even seemed to screw her over and now I did. I hung my head down. I already told her I was sorry..

I snapped myself out of it and walked passed the door. It was none of my business any way.

I walked down the hallway to the very last dark blue door. If you could even call it a door. It was more like a teleport mirror, a hiding place for my father's creations. He made the very first sirens here. Only Luna and myself knew about it.

I stepped into the teleport and came out on the other side. This place was huge. There was a huge dark blue lagoon when you fist entered on the side of the teleport, were the very first sirens were made. A male and a female, I wasn't there when father had created them but I had glimpsed the female before. She had Blonde hair and light blue eyes but her pupils looked like snake eyes.

I squated next to the lagoon. It looked like it was never ending. Light couldn't penetrate through it. I put my hand in the water, it was surprisingly warm. I placed my hand back on the ledge and felt something wet. I lifted my hand and saw red. I quickly checked myself to see if I was bleeding but I wasn't. Someone was in here. I quickly looked for more of the blood but it stopped at the ledge of the lagoon.

I leaned over the edge. There were no Sirens here. Father had released them and there was no way to get in from the outside. I turned my head and ran my fingers through my hair.

I caught a green glare in the corner of my eye that made me look back at the lagoon. The calmness of the water was now rippling. I did a double take and stood up. "No....she couldn't of," I saw nothing more of the green scales but I know to get here attention.

I placed my hand in the water and moved it around to make noises of distress and it only took a second for her to lunge at me hands first. I ducked and grabbed her by the waist and pulled her out of the water.

She continued to hiss at me. "Faleen, what the hell are you doing in here!?" I demanded. She was snarling at me now. Id have to wait for her to change back to get any answers from her. So I sat down and waited. I swear to god this girl was crazy...She's tried to kill me..what twice now. I guess this little incident would make it twice now. I looked at her and snickered.
