Sirens of the Abyss

Chapter 9

-Faleen POV-

I lunged at him hoping to sink my claws into him and drag him under but he pulled me up by my waist and through me to the floor. I hissed and snarled at him but It didn't last long before I changed back. The pain of changing forms was nothing now. It was like shedding skin.

I looked up and saw Theo snickering at me. "Ugh..shut up," I said as I strained to hull myself up. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me up. I had forgotten that I was naked. I didn't have any spare clothes. I quickly covered myself with my arms. Theo looked away from me.

"So..want to explain to me why you were in here?" he asked. I looked down at my abdomen were he had stabbed me. It was healed now and had left a very light scar. "The pearl..It was burning again..." I started to look around for a cloth or anything that could cover me and keep me decent.

"Are you still hurt?" He asked still looking away.

"No I'm fine now." I found a gold cloth on a table and wrapped it around myself. "I needed to find water so I sneaked out before Luna came back. I thought this was the way out but it wasn't." I walked towards him and tapped him on his shoulder,"You can look now."

He looked back towards me,"You know you could of asked someone to lead you out of here to the water. My father will not be to happy to find out you were in here."

"What? Your gonna tattle on me pretty boy," I teased. He looked me up and down not saying anything. "Want a picture?" I c****d my head and smirked at him. He closed the space between us and looked down at my chest. "Hey! what are yo-" I started but I stopped. He placed his hand on the pearl.

"So when your in the water it stops burning...how odd." he said and his eyes started to roam over my body. I started to blush and felt a primal sensation wash over my body. Maybe it was lust? but whatever it was It needed to stop.

I pushed him away from me and turned my back to him. "Show me the way out.." I demanded.

"I don't get you. One moment you lunge at me, the next your acting like little shy girl. It's not like you haven't killed before," he said. I balled my fists.

"What did you say?" I said with a tone of warning in my voice. This man better think about his next words very carefully..

"I know about Sirens Faleen. My father made them right here in this lagoon. I had just assumed you had already killed from that incident earlier," He started to walk towards me.

"You think I like killing? I have no choice in the matter. Your father made us this way and I absolutely despise it." I started to walk away from him and back to the dark blue door. I figured it was the only way out of here.

"I'm sorry you feel that way." he replied. I turned around and looked at him. "What are you anyway? In the water you took on a form of a Siren male. I thought you were a god like your father." I asked.

He looked at me and adjusted his glasses. "I can be whatever you want me to be. I just picked a male Siren because I thought you would relate to it more and you would trust me." he replied. I could not believe this.

"You are so full of s**t," I leered at him. "You let me believe what you want me to believe and you think that was okay?" I started to walk towards him menacingly. "You, my mother and sister are just alike and ill tell you what I told them. Screw you." I turned and walked out of the room. I hoped he felt like an asshole.

-Luna POV-

I brought back some more cloths for Faleens wound. I hope she didn't move too much. I knocked on Faleens Unit door but heard nothing.

I opened the door, "Faleen are you alright hun?" but Faleen was not in her bed. I felt my heart drop to my stomach. "Faleen?!" I checked under the bed and the bathroom and then ran down the hall. I had to find Theo and tell him that the girl was missing.

She still had her wound and it wasn't fully healed. If she went anywhere I would of found a blood trail. I started to look for one, just in case. I found a few drops of blood down the opposite end if the hallway.

I ran down the hall as fast as I could hopefully she had not passed out...

-Theo POV-

She was definitely a spitfire. I'll give her that. She had fire in her soul. I didn't mean to get her all riled up but there she was stomping down the hall. "You done yet?" I yelled to Faleen in front of me.

She held her middle finger up as a response. Wow...

"You know you're going to the wrong way right?" I stated but she gave no response. I ran in front of her to get her attention.

She held up her hands "Just STOP!" She yelled and there were tears in her eyes. I paused. "Just leave me alone.." she said and held herself with her arms.

"Faleen...I didn't mean to upset you..." I tried to apologize but she turned her head. I reached for her cheek and wiped away a tear. "Really I am sorry...You've been through enough. The last thing I should be doing is making it worse for you." She looked up at me. Her eyes held a deep saddens within them. A part of me wanted to comfort her to protect her but I knew I couldn't.

I sighed deeply. "Come on I'll show you back to your room and Ill tell Luna what happened so she doesn't have a heart attack." Faleen still said nothing. It's like she closed herself off.

I came closer to her so she could hear me and I whisper in her ear,"By the way...I would like a picture.."

She immediately looked up at me with a mean mug and punched me in the gut. I fell to one knee with a grunt. Damn she had a good arm. She walked past me and I turned my head to see where she was going. She slightly turned her head back towards me and smiled "Come on you freak," she replied in a soft voice and started to walk ahead of me.

I smiled to myself and followed her.

-Luna POV-

"Faleen!?" I yelled as I turned a corner and hit something head on and fell on the floor.

"Hey! What do-" I looked up and saw Theo and Faleen. I was pressed my lips together and stood up and put my hands on my hips. "Theo what in the world! She is hurt! Did you take her from the care Unit? I swear you gave me a heart attack."

I quickly glanced at Faleen and she was wearing a golden cloth. I glanced back a Theo and he looked away. "Why is she wearing this?" I picked up a corner of the fabric and turned to Theo. "Look at me now Theo. Answer me."

He looked towards me now. "Well...she got lost and ended up in fathers Creation room."he replied. My face went pale. Oh no. I instantly looked at Faleen and searched her for anymore damage.

"Are you okay sweetheart? Here let me your wou-," I lifted up her clothes to see her abdomen but there was no wound. I narrowed my eye at Theo.

"Alright hun just go down this hall and make a right and get back into be I will be there shortly okay?" I gently nudged the girl down the hall away from Theo and I.

"Okay.." she responded.

"Luna I had no Idea she had left the room. I was on my way to the Creation room and I found her in the lagoon." I crossed my arms. "How did her wound heal like that? It would have taken her at least a week or two to see any signs of healing." I asked.

"Theo...I think I have to tell you something." I said with a deep sigh. There was no point in waiting for his father to come back if I had Theo her now. Theo c****d his head waiting for me to start talking.

"Something is happening to her. When I went to check on her the first time I left and came back. Glass had shattered all over the floor. Vases and glass cabinets even the windows. I think the pearl mending with her is giving her some sort of abilities she doesn't know about." I said.

Theo looked like he was in deep thought know. "I came in after you left...I was trying to find my belt and she was awake. We talked but I think I upset her." he added.

Emotions could trigger magical abilities. Maybe that's how the glass shattered. She felt anger or whatever it was she was feeling and let it out. "We have to be careful Theo, we don't know the extent of what she can do and neither does she but it looks like she has no control over it at least not yet." I turned to leave.

"Should I place gurads at here door?" Theo asked.

"No I have a better Idea. Why don't you watch over her?" I smiled wickedly. Theo eyes widen. "Wait what? I already have Delilah to entertain. Now you want me to watch over Faleen? You know that won't go over well with Delilah."

I turned around and replied,"Honestly I hate that little brat and I hate that your being forced to marry her. Little miss prissy princess of darkness." I let out a frustrated grunt.

Theo looked up at me,"Yeah but I have to do what's best for the kingdom and if that's just marrying her that stops hell being raised on earth then I'll do. I want no harm to come to my people."

I closed my eyes and tried to image him walking down the aisle with her...but I just could not. I opened my eyes and Theo was smiling at me and touched my shoulder.

"Don't worry I can handle Delilah, she is easily amused. I can look after Faleen as well." he tried to reassure me. Theo had a way of making you feel comfort. His eyes always showed strength but there was always that glint of loneliness when someone wasn't looking. He did what he had to do and all I wanted for him was to find someone he loved and live a happier life.

I pulled him into a hug, "I love you sweetheart. I just wanted more for you than this." I closed my eyes trying to fight back the tears. No I couldn't cry. There had to be more in this life for him...there had to be.

I released him from my hug and placed a gently kiss on his forehead and raced down the hall towards the care unit so he wouldn't see my tears over flow my eyes.
