The First Leak

LEAH The private wing was quieter than the rest of the mansion. Thick carpet swallowed the sound of my footsteps as I pushed the cleaning cart down the hallway. Every door was closed except the one Dominic had told me to start with- the sitting room. I worked quickly, wiping down surfaces that already looked spotless, trying not to think about the way my body still felt strange. The heat between my legs had settled into a low, constant throb. My breasts felt heavier than they had when I put the uniform on this morning. I told myself it was stress or the new environment. Or the way that man had looked at me like he could see straight through the fabric. It didn’t help. When I finished the sitting room, I moved to the next door which was…. His bedroom. I hesitated with my hand on the handle. Entering felt like crossing a line I hadn’t been invited to cross. But he’d given the order himself. Clean the private wing. Nowhere else. The room was massive. A wall of windows looked out over the darkening grounds. The bed was oversized, the sheets a deep charcoal that matched the rest of the house. Everything smelled faintly of him- that clean, dark scent that had filled the study earlier. It clung to the air even though the windows were closed. I started with the dresser, careful not to touch anything that looked personal. My hands moved on autopilot while my mind kept drifting back to the way his voice had dropped when he said my name. Then it happened. A sudden, sharp pressure bloomed behind my n*****s, so strong it made me suck in a breath. I froze with the dusting cloth in my hand. Heat flooded my chest. A second later I felt it- warm wetness spreading across the front of my bra. I looked down and gasped. “what- “ Two dark spots were already blooming through the thin fabric of the uniform top. Milk. I stared, heart slamming against my ribs. This had never happened before. Not like this. Not without warning. My hands flew up, pressing against the growing wet patches as if I could stop it. The pressure only got worse. More milk leaked, warm and steady, soaking through the bra and into the shirt until the fabric clung to me. At the same time, the throb between my legs turned into something worse. Slick spilled out of me in a sudden rush, soaking my underwear in seconds. I could feel it sliding down the inside of my thighs. My knees went weak. I gripped the edge of the dresser to stay upright. “What is happening to me?” I whispered. Tears seemed to gather in my eyes as my vision blurred. Suddenly, the door opened behind me. I spun around in panic and my heart sank. Dominic Kane stood in the doorway. He took one step inside and stopped dead. His eyes locked on the front of my uniform. On the wet marks spreading across my chest. On the way my hands were still pressed there like I could hide it. His nostrils flared. The change in his expression was instant and terrifying. Whatever control he’d been holding onto in the study shattered. His eyes darkened until they looked almost black. He inhaled once, deep and slow, like he was pulling the scent of me straight into his lungs. Then he moved. I didn’t even have time to step back. He crossed the room in three long strides, crowded me against the dresser, and planted both hands on the wood on either side of my hips. His body didn’t quite touch mine, but the heat of him wrapped around me anyway. He dropped his head, nose brushing the side of my neck, and breathed in again. A low, rough sound rumbled out of his chest. “What the f**k are you?” The words were growled against my skin. Panic slammed into me. I shoved at his chest but he didn’t budge. My milk was still leaking, warm and relentless, and I knew he could smell it. I knew he could smell everything else too. The slick had soaked through my underwear completely now. I could feel it with every tiny shift of my body. “I-I don’t know,” I choked out. “Something’s wrong. I need to leave. Please.” I tried to duck under his arm. I was a lowly omega who grew up with a rare condition but- how was it possible that I did not know what was causing. His hand shot out and caught the door before I could reach it, slamming it shut. The lock clicked. He turned the deadbolt with a deliberate twist of his wrist, then planted himself between me and the only exit. “You’re not going anywhere.” His voice was lower than before. Rougher. Like it was being dragged over gravel. I backed up until my shoulders hit the wall. He followed, stopping only when there was barely a foot of space left between us. His eyes dragged down my body again, lingering on the wet patches that had grown larger. Another drop of milk escaped and rolled down the inside of my bra. I felt it. From the way his jaw clenched, I knew he noticed. “Your scent changed the second you walked into my study,” he said. “I thought I was imagining it. Then I walked in here and it hit me like a f*****g truck.” He inhaled again, slower this time, and his eyes fluttered half-shut for a second. When they opened, they were almost completely black. “You’re leaking. And you’re soaked. And every breath I take makes it harder to think.” “I don’t understand what’s happening,” I whispered. My voice shook in fear and embarrassment. “This has never- I’ve never-” “I can smell how wet you are.” The words were blunt and almost angry. “I can smell the milk. It’s in the air. It’s on my tongue. Do you have any idea what that does to someone like me?” I shook my head. Tears of panic and confusion burned at the corners of my eyes. My body was still reacting, still producing more of whatever this was, and the longer he stood this close the worse it got. The ache in my breasts had turned into a deep, throbbing need. The slick between my thighs felt endless. He took one more step. His hands came up and braced against the wall on either side of my head, caging me in completely. He dropped his face back to the curve of my neck and breathed me in like he was starving for it. The tip of his nose dragged along my pulse point and a full-body shiver ran through me. “You’re not leaving this room,” he said against my skin, “until I understand what the hell your body is doing to me.” I tried to push him again. My palms pressed against the hard plane of his chest. He felt like stone under the black shirt. Unmovable. “Please,” I said. “I only came for one day. My mother is sick. I just needed to cover her shift. I didn’t mean for any of this-” “I don’t care what you meant.” His voice dropped even lower. “I care about the fact that I haven’t felt this out of control in fifteen years. And it’s because of you.” He pulled back just enough to look at me. His eyes were still too dark. Too focused. The intensity in them made my stomach flip. “You’re going to stay right here,” he said. “You’re going to tell me every single thing you know about what’s happening to your body. And you’re not walking out of that door until I decide it’s safe for both of us.” My heart was hammering so hard I could feel it in my throat. Milk continued to seep into the fabric of my uniform. Slick coated the insides of my thighs. And the man in front of me- this powerful, terrifying alpha stranger, looked like he was one breath away from losing whatever thin hold he still had on himself. I came here for one day. Now the door was locked, my body was betraying me in ways I didn’t understand, and Dominic Kane was staring at me like I was the only thing in the world he could see. And somewhere deep under the panic, under the confusion and the fear, a dangerous little voice whispered that part of me didn’t want him to step back. Oh. f**k. No.
