Work

I finally made my way out of my house, and began sprinting through the trees to the pack house. I knew I was running behind, and if I didn’t get there soon who knew what today’s punishment would be. If I wasn’t a werewolf I’d be dead by now. My body was riddled with scars, deep excruciating scars. So I covered up to keep the pain they reminded me of buried. Soon I was close to the pack house, and I was glad I didn’t get beat up on the way. Normally I can’t make it to the pack house without the local gang beating my ass to a pulp. Unfortunately, things never seem to go my way. “Hey w***e!” Someone shouted, so I started to run. I wasn’t fast enough though, due to a broken leg I endured yesterday. It’s healed some, but it’s definitely taken a toll. Someone body slammed me to the ground and roughly turned me into my back. Soon I was looking into the dark eyes of none other than Luke. “This little s**t thought she could get away from her first beating of the day,” he laughed. I knew what was coming, but even that wasn’t enough to brace myself for the amount of strength he delivered. He punched me so hard, I could feel my jaw shatter as he broke it. With that single hit, I fell unconscious. Goddess knows even after I blacked out, they continued they’re torture on my body, and I would feel every ache and pain when I woke. So when I opened my eyes, I wasn’t surprised I couldn’t move. I was probably only out for a half hour, and could hear the Alpha screaming my name from the pack house. “Oh great,” I thought. He probably tried to mind link me and when he couldn’t get through he most likely thought I blocked him out. I’ll have it twice as bad now. I mustered up what little strength I had and stood. The Alpha came running out the front door of the pack house in a murderous rage, and when his eyes locked on mine I was ready to pass out again. “ Why me?” I said aloud to myself. He looked ready to kill me, and I was truly frightened. He ran towards me so fast I couldn’t react. His hand tightened quickly around my throat and I could feel my life force begin to drain. “You little b***h, you DARE ignore your Alpha! I should kill you where you are you ungrateful pest! You’re lucky my son comes home tomorrow and we have work for you to do or I would!” He spat in my face. My fear quickly became an unbearable anger I had to hold at bay, and for a second I felt something within me stir, something powerful that urged me to fight back. Soon my Alpha was thrown against a tree, and my ass was on the ground, coughing and wheezing the air back into my lungs. “WHO DARE LAY THEIR HANDS ON ME?!” The Alpha roared, hysterically looking around for the powerful blow. Finding no one his eyes pinned on me, and I shrunk back in fear. “Did you see who pushed me,” he asked me dangerously quiet. “No Alpha Mc’Caine, I didn’t see anybody,” I answered quietly, looking down in submission. “Of course you didn’t,” he replied, before punching me in my already broken jaw. “Now get your ass to work,” he spit. Then turned and left, and I had to peel myself off the ground, and slowly limp my way inside, and start working.
