Lucian's P.O.V

Its been two weeks since the attack on mum and Leila and although mum healed with no permanent damage dad has put her on lockdown in the house, this is driving mum crazy more so than having dad constantly around her, I'm not sure if she uses the bathroom with out him present. I walk down the hallway to the kitchen "I swear on the GODDESS Edward if you don't give me breathing space I will divorce you" I heard from my parents room the door opened quickly as a vase came flying out, "now darling would you really leave our kids in a broken family home" I heard my mum scream picking up another vase when I saw my father run out of the room closing the door, he was pale and scared as he looked at me "I'll leave you for a bit my love" sighing under his breath, he turned his head "Oh hello son, your mum just needs a few moments" I pursed my lips to stop myself from laughing, he placed his arm around my shoulder "so son how has training been?" he asked as we continued to walk towards the kitchen "ah its been good, great actually, the warriors are more swifter and agile, even the bigger one's, we are extremely well prepared with weapons and in human form we are stronger" Lynda our cook was preparing snacks for us when we sat at the counter "that's great, what about the she-wolves and pups?" he asked as Lynda poured us coffee "Leila trains the pups and they are all doing really good, they are becoming stronger and their hand eye co ordination is getting better so is their fitness, she's a really good trainer, patient but firm, she will start teaching simple defence  over the next couple of weeks, Raven is training the she wolves now she is tough and it shows in the results all our she wolves can defend themselves alot better than before" I watched as dad nodded "I guess this was overdue, we fought for our warriors to be the strongest to be the strongest pack but seems we may have to move into the 21st century and allow our she wolves to train not to just become warriors but to protect themselves" I had to smile at that, it was one of the first things I was going to initiate once I become  Alpha, I truly believed that our she wolves could be some of the best warriors with the right training. We sat there having our snacks when Mum and Isabel joined us, mum walked straight over to dad leaning to his ear "you know I love you my darling and I will never actually divorce you, maybe move you to another room but you are my love" she gently kissed his cheek, he turned to her "I was just so scared darling, if I lose you-" mum placed her index finger on his lips to stop him "you think the goddess gave you an amazing Luna just to be taken by a silly rogue, it will take someone alot stronger than that" we watched as dad wrapped his arms around mum kissing her "ew" was all Isabel could say as I laughed at her.

I checked my watch Leila should have been back by now, I let out a sigh as I dropped down on my bed Hey Paul have you heard from Raven I mind linked my Beta Yeah Bro her and Leila have gone for a run I looked at my watch, the boys and I haven't spent much Bro time together since finding our mates and although Lucas's mate wasn't yet of age and he has sworn off all woman the three of us still haven't had time to chill and decompose Boys you wanna go out tonight? I asked getting quick yes's in response meet downstairs in 15 . I quickly changed into dark blue jeans and a dark grey V neck tee, I pulled out my phone Babe just going out with the boys won't be long. I love you baby xx I picked up my jacket and met the boys by my car, Lucas was wearing a white and blue checkered top and light blue chino's while Paul was wearing a black v neck tee and black jeans "where to Lucian?" Lucas asked like a giddy teenager I gave him a sly smirk throwing the keys to Paul "The Cigar Room" the boys let out a cheer.

We pulled up to the Cigar Room, this was one of our most frequent places we would go as our starter place, It was Pack owned and managed by one of our members Eloise, she hired members of other packs but they knew not to mess with her business and It thrived. We saw Bruno on the door "Hey guys, its been a while?" we all shook his hand, although lower ranked in the pack he was always our eyes and ears of what was happening "what's new Bruno?" I asked leaning against the building "heard that there was a nasty new Rogue lingering around, Valynik is his name and he seems to be recruiting members" I raised my eyebrows at him "recruiting who? Is he still around?" Paul asked as he crossed his arms across his chest, Bruno has a quick look around "I have seen the bastard talking to Fire Stone and Howling Moon Packs, he approached Rising Moon but Alpha James told him to get stuffed especially after what happened to Luna Celeste, whether they are his allies no one knows for sure but rumour is Fire Stone and Howling Moon have. He left not long after what happened to Luna Celeste but I have been told a couple of his goons are floating in and out" I shook his hand while Lucas gave him a hundred dollar note, he then opened the doors for us. Walking into the entrance brought back alot of memories of the three of us. I walked to the bar where I could see Eloise standing there in her black and white pin stripe fitted ladies suit, her bronze eye sparkled as she saw us, she placed three coasters on the light mahogany bar "long time no see boys, how have my favourite boys been?" she asked as we sat down, Lucas smiled before yelling "I found my mate El" he was gushing like a school girl, Eloise giggled as she poured us a cognac "that is great Lucas, now make sure you treat her like a queen" she handed Lucas his drink who was nodding like a puppy dog she then walked to a short haired girl at the end of the bar "Kelly, please set up Blood Moon Packs room for the boys and make sure its fully stocked the list is in their room" Kelly nodded and quickly walked down the hall. Paul and I were talking about training when Eloise walked back to us "So have you boys found your mates yet?" she lent on the bar pouring herself a cognac we both nodded "My mate is Raven and she is the most beautiful Zeta for the Crescent Moon pack" Eloise smiled at Paul before turning to me raising one eyebrow at me "My mate is a human named Leila Black she grew up with the Crescent Moon pack" I saw that Eloise's composure had shifted slightly "what's wrong El, is it because she is human?" she went to pull herself up but I grabbed her wrist "I-It's nothing really, I just heard a rumour that the Black family from the Crescent Moon Pack were direct descendnts of the Northern Wolf King Elias Black, but Leila is human and Alpha Colton Black and his Luna and their 5 daughters were slaughtered during an attack" I let her hand go she must of heard that wrong or could Leila be a family member of the same Alpha family. "Excuse me gentlemen, your room is ready" Kelly said picking up our glasses and guiding us to our room.

Leila's P.O.V

Having Raven cast a spell on the guards and the patrols so that I could let my wolf run, having to drink the herbal concoction that Tawoomba supplies me takes away my wolf's ability to be her true self but I still have to let her run to be free even if it was for a short time. I walked back to Raven and saw her with a big grin on her face "Lei you are beautiful, just like your dad" I knew she was right our wolves were identical jet black with a white crescent moon on our foreheads I was only a little smaller than his, I shifted and got changed into my clothes when Raven sat on the ground lifting the spell on the guards and patrols "we need to talk about our plan of attack Leila" she said not looking at me, I laid down next to her "I'm sure Jeremiah, Aaron and yourself will have everything covered Raven, you three have been taking care of the pack since dad's death" I covered my eyes with my arms as Raven laid next to me "we have but you will become our Alpha soon and we have to consider Lucian and Lincoln's packs now now that we are mated to them" I looked into her eyes and saw tears welling up, I shot up and grabbed her, I have never seen her this vulnerable before "what's wrong Raven?" she shook herself away from me "It's nothing!" she exclaimed while wiping her tears "Raven answer me" she turned to me then with out warning tears were streaming down "I'm lying to him and I can't help but feel guilty Lei, I won't tell him about you because there is a bigger picture and I have told him what happened to me and the twins but he knows there's more to you than I'm letting on and he wants to mark me but I can't" she started sobbing really hard in my arms, I tried soothing her the best I could. I never thought how her, Tristan and Trinity would be going through with keeping this secret, I mean its hard for me because I'm mated to Lucian and I keep my wolf at bay but for these three they spend their days living a lie that isn't them. Lucian believes I'm a human so he doesn't push me like their mates will, my need for vengeance is causing those I love to lie to their mates, the ones they love their other half of their complete souls. They should have already completed the mating ritual but of course they can't because once completed Lincoln and Lucian will know the truth about who I am and everything will change. As her sobs subsided she sat up and wiping her eyes "Raven after Trey, Raymond and I ascend on our 18th we will formulate a plan to include the packs then after Lucian's inauguration we will tell them the truth" she smiled at me warily "I'm sorry, I don't know what happened to me. I should be stronger than this" I watched as she composed herself "Raven, your in love. Yes you are our greatest warrior but you are also a mate, that isn't weakness you know our mates makes us stronger" she nodded as I grabbed my phone I'm sure Lucian would be wondering where I was."Huh, Lucian and the boys are out for the night, so what shall we do" I saw a glimpse of rebellion in her eyes "well I hear that Lincoln has a waterfall in his territory maybe we could go over and have a bonfire" I smiled at her its been two weeks since she has seen Tristan and Trinity and a bonfire would be cool "yeah lets do it, mind link Trin" I got up and started running.When we arrived I ran up to my room, I sent a text to Lucian letting him know that we were going to Lincolns that he and a few of his warriors were coming to get Raven and I, Isabel was doing re con with the packs warriors so I flicked her a text to let her know where we were. I got out of the shower when Tristan mind linked me Lei we are downstairs, there will be 6 warriors in wolf form escorting you back I quickly mind linked him back telling him I'll be down in 10 minutes. I decided to wear a maroon turtle neck singlet and dark blue jeans with a pair of ug boots, I grabbed my puffer jacket and ran down stairs meeting Lincoln at the bottom "before we leave I just wanted to have a private word with you" he held his hand towards the kitchen, I followed him and he lent on the bench crossing his arms across his chest, I didn't like the way he was acting but I think that's the Alpha in me and decided I would listen he cleared his throat and I think he was trying to find the right words to use not because he didn't want to disrespect Lucian but I feel it had more to do with not wanting to hurt Trinity "I am unsure as to how you fit in with this war but my gut is telling me that you may well be right in the middle" I was analysing my body language but I held my ground and kept myself composed "I love Trinity and respect her brother immensely and once I get to know Raven I am sure I will love her too, now they are very loyal to you Leila and probably will die for you" he started walking towards me in calculating steps "If I find that this war is because of a pathetic human antic and harm befalls on my love or her siblings, I will not hesitate to rip your throat apart" I knew he was dead serious but I smiled at him not showing fear "when the time is right Alpha Lincoln you will find out where I stand in this war but know this yes they would die for me but I too will die for them too, they ARE my family and I will Kill and Die for them" I was staring him straight in the eyes so that he could see that I was telling him the truth he simply smiled and me and motioned me to leave with him. Raven was hugging Tristan and I knew they were talking via link, "I have 6 warriors who will escort us in their wolf form my Delta Joey will be driving with Gamma Russell will be on the back, we will get you there safely, I have rooms set up for you to stay the night, I passed the invitation on to Lucian as well" I followed him to the truck What did he want? Tristan mind linked me I explained to him and Raven what Lincoln and I spoke about I should kick his arse for speaking to you like this Tristan said angrily No he is protective over Trinity and you both too so I am not offended Tris besides like I told him when the time is right he will know the truth Raven giggled Yeah then we can kick his arse . I sat back and smiled as Lincoln watched us in the rearview, obviously I was Tristan and I were on our phones.

We followed Lincoln through the forest behind his pack house to a clearing that was absolutely beautiful, lush green grass surrounding a waterfall, Trinity and Charlee were setting up a table of food while Ryder started the bonfire, Trinity looked up and saw us "Raven" she squealed as she ran to her big sister jumping in her arms, Tristan went straight to Charlee placing soft kisses on her face, I watched Ryder as he watched his sister I saw that he was happy but then a flash of sadness covered his face, Trinity wrapped her around me "Lei, I'm so happy we can hang out, I was dying not having my girls with me". I laughed as I hugged her back and we took our seats on logs next to the fire. We talked about when we were young cautious not to let on about me and I watched as Lincoln took in all the information, "Ryder, have you been talking to Melissa?" I asked as he took a sip of his beer, he nodded "Yes, but her, Briar and Gamma Aaron are away at the moment so I wont hear from her until they are back" Trinity who was sitting on Lincoln's lap touched his shoulder "Ryder, don't worry too much, both Melissa and Briar are strong she-wolves, we taught them and they have been training since they were 4" he tried to force a smile when Raven lent forward "If Melissa wasn't a female beta she would be my second that is how much confidence I have in her ability" Ryder's eyes widened at the thought of his mate being a tough warrior. We sat there for what seems like hours talking and laughing about any and everything when we heard loud laughter coming from the trees behind us, we all turned to see a stumbling Paul and Lucian while Lucas was shaking his head "Hello my love" Lucian shouted just a few feet from me, I smiled at him as he sat next to me moving in for a kiss, he smelt like booze and cigars I didn't really like the taste but I still kissed him, he wrapped his arm around me pulling me into him, I heard Raven giggling as Paul was smothering her with kisses, Charlee looked at Lucas who took a seat next to Ryder "I never thought I'd see the day the Lucas would be the mature one out of you three" she laughed, Lucian looked at Lucas "I guess being in love changes you" I saw a look of pride cross his face. "What are we talking about?" Paul asked looking at everyone Ryder spoke this time "Melissa and Briar at the moment" he said smiling Lucas perked up just at the mention of his mate. We continued telling them about Melissa and Briar which made them more proud and in love with their mates, Trinity then hit Ryder "Melissa and Briar's birthdays are coming up next week" Ryder nodded at her "yes, I spoke to Trey and asked for ideas and I have narrowed it down to a long handled short sword or a necklace" I giggled "get her the necklace, Trey usually gets her weapons that's kinda his thing" Raven started laughing loud it actually shocked us all "do you remember when Melissa got the nun chucks, Trey purposely snapped them then realised Alpha Colton got them for her" I started to laugh "yeah then da-" I remembered where I was and started coughing Lucian quickly started patting my back "sorry, then the Alpha made Trey train three times a day for a month" Trinity and Tristan were both looking at me before Lucas said that he was making a music tape for Briar most of it was his original songs. I started to yawn and looked up at Lucian who looked down at me s**t he's gorgeus "you tired?" he asked and all I could do is nod he stood up "well it's getting late, we should call it a night guys" Trinity had already fallen asleep in Lincolns arm, Ryder and Lucas offered to clean up while we all went to bed.

Lucian and I climbed into a bed in one of the guest rooms "did you have a good night?" I asked as his arm wrapped around my waist pulling me closer "yeah, it was great to have a boys night with Paul and Lucas it's been a really long time" I turned my head to kiss him goodnight "Leila" he said looking me dead in the eyes "Hmm" I answered "are you related to Alpha Colton? and did you know he was a direct descendant to the Northern Wolf King" i gasped in shock "I didn't know that, we should let Beta Jeremiah and Gamma Aaron know. How did you find out?" I was trying to keep him on this subject as I didn't want to lie to him nor did I want to tell him the truth, lucky he had already fallen asleep
