Chapter 7: Casual Match

"That was a lot of information to write, I am already exhausted," Says Inazuke

"Well at least we don't have to complete it again until something changes," Says Soma

"Now that I look at it, our team doesn't look that great, we have 3 main fighters and 2 assassins, we don't even have a mage or a healer, that's bad," Says Ken while thinking

"Eh, don't think that much about it, my grandfather had a saying "More Cc equals more GG," Says Iaznuke proudly

"What does that even mean?" Says Ken pissed off

"I don't know, but it sounds wise"

"Ken points are right, but think of it this way. You don't need a healer to heal the opponent's damage if you kill the opponent," Says Tamura

Ken just thinks

"How did I ended up in this team?"

"Anyway, we should take the form back and say we completed, After all this writing I want to fight,"

They did that and after the girl from the counter read it she says

"Welcome to the roaster "Twenty levels scaling ". Hope you will have a good time. Your match will be ready in about 2 minutes"

"We should start strategizing," Says Yonezu

"Seems fair," Says Ken

Everyone looks at Ken waiting to start talking. He was the one that usually made the decisions in the team so they relied on him this time again for advice

"Well, I can't think of much now. Tamura uses your passive on me, I don't care about my attack damage status, I am more of an attack speed type. Everyone should try their best to not screw up their battlefield. Soma, play for the objectives, the abys monster buff might seem insignificant, but with lots of them, they will make the difference."

The abys monster is a special creature, that appears near the bottom battlefield, it is hard to kill alone so it's recommended that the marksman and support go there to help too. If you successfully defeat it, it will give a small buff of a random stat to all the team. The best part of the buff is that it is infinite and can stack. The buff can be between movement speed bonus in the early stages of the match, to a straight-up revive in the place you died after 2 seconds.

Kein continues to explain to the team even what items should be building.

Items are bought with gold. The gold you possess in the real world doesn't transfer over the match so it is a fair experience. Every player starts with some gold at the begging of the game, in order to buy a starting item. Items are the most important thing in a match. It's simple. the more items you have, the stronger you are. Some items only give bonus stats or have some passive attached to them, some of them can be activated and some of them can be consumed. Same with the gold, their inventory it's not shared between the real world and the match. The player can hold up to 6 items. There are a lot of items for all the roles that exist, support items that make you heal or shield, fighters items that give you health and life steal, and things like that.

While Ken was still talking, the girl from the counter shouted their team name. They went there. The way to go there is via a teleporter, but before you go there, you need to equip a special device that lets you talk with your teammates without being close to them. They all go to their teleporter and begin the process

"Please do not move during the teleportation and be sure you don't forget a body part outside the teleporter, you might lose them," Says the girl with quite an enthusiastic tone

Everyone closes their eyes and they open again they were... in their base on the Climbing Isles

"Okay, boys, give it your all" The voice of Ken was heard by all others of their teammates

He said this but he was the one that didn't know how to even buy items, he looked at the shop with such a dumb face that even the shopkeeper just hand him a starting item and tells him to go to his battlefield,

Arriving there he saw his opponents, they seem to be... supports both of them

"What is that?" Said Ken even more confused but then from the device they can talk all of them to each other, Inazuke voice screaming

"WHY ARE THERE TWO PEOPLE ON TOP"

There were indeed two opponents on top arguing to each other about the fact that he chose to top first

Only Yonezu seemed to had a normal opponent

Ken looking at the opponents that were still arguing even tho the minions already spawned, he thinks

"Hm, this looks like an easy game for us" But immediately after saying this the announcer of the match said

"An ally has gone down"

"What?"

Looking at what happened, Yonezu died in 2 minutes after the game started

And like that, the game that was "easy" was not what they expected. Everyone had some sort of a problem. Inazuke was mad because they were two people on his battlefield, Inazuke was constantly dying for some reason, Ken was disappointed that he is losing versus two supports in the lane. The only one that was happy, was Soma, that their team didn't see him once, he was doing his jungle camps without coming for help once.

The match was not doing that bad tho, the top battlefield was even, even tho it was a 2 vs 1, and the bottom battlefield was carried solo by Tamura that was killing the opponents instantly when they came into the lane.

Ken had a lot of gold and he went base to the shop to buy something

The shopkeeper right when he saw him said:

"Hello, hello, what can I get you ?"

Ken that was looking with a dumb expression just said

"I want something that deals damage"

The shopkeeper mad starts shouting

"Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down"

"I think my friend here wants to buy a "sharp sword" " Says Yonezu that has been just respawned

"Oh, Hi Yonezu, thank you for your help, but I already have a sword"

"This is not how items works, once you have it in your inventory, it gives the bonus status or passive that it has, you don't need to use them"

"Oh that's cool, well I have more gold, Should I buy more "sharp swords"?"

A "sharp sword" it's a basic item that increases your attack damage by a bit, it can be upgraded into more powerful items

"Wait how much gold do you have?"

"Around 5000"

"Are you kidding me? that's like half the full build" Says Yonezu very surprised

"How much do you have?"

"Around 1000," says Yonezu

While there were still talking, from the communication device that was in Ken's ear Tamura started screaming

"KEN! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU AT? I AM ALONE HERE FOR 4 MINUTES"

Ken quickly responds

"Ah sorry, coming right away"

"Are you coming too?" Ads Ken looking at Yonezu

"Um... no, I will just wait here for a little longer"

"Ok, do what you want" And with that Ken leaves the base and starts to walk to his battlefield

When he was at half the distance, from his base a very bright light shined upon the base

"What was that" Ask Ken and then everyone starts questioning

The only one that didn't respond was Yonezu. Yonezu from that moment didn't speak a word.

When Ken got back to the battlefield the whole enemy team was there

"We need to kill him, he has a gold bounty on him," Says the big guy that was the enemy team tank

And before they could have reacted the enemy assassin was behind them blocking the way to the turret

"We are screwed," Thinks Ken, but then a heavy breathing sound was heard from the nearby wall.

From the wall, a beefy guy with big white armor and a big helmet that you cannot see through appears

"Yonezu?" Murmurs Ken but then the enemy mage shouts

"Why are you standing around? Get him" And start trowing at Yonezu all kinds of attacks and abilities, fireballs, daggers, water waves, boulders. They used all their arsenal to attack Yonezu. After the smoke was cleared Yonezu was standing up, unflinching, and his armor was shining yellow.

"Now it's my turn" Shouts Yonezu preparing to strike

Seeing this, their tank takes a defending stance and uses a spell to increase his armor, health and giving him a shield

"Double armor? There is no way we can defeat him" Thinks Ken

But then Yonezu strikes in front of him very quickly, and ... cuts the tank in half?

"What?" All the enemy team was surprised by that

"Holy spaghetti" Ken was just astonished about what happened "That was... enough true damage to defeat him in one shot?" thinks Ken

"Why are we standing around" Shouts Tamura and jumps to defeat the other enemies. They manage to defeat two more before going back to base but Tamura was defeated as well.

Ken was just waiting for Tamura to respawn when Inazuke starts speaking through the device

"Nice distraction guys! That really helped me"

"What do you mean?" Says Ken and then looks at the map and gets surprised again

"ARE YOU ALREADY IN THEIR BASE?"

Inazuke took the time when all the enemies were on the bottom side to destroy 3 turrets

Ken decided to go help Inazuke on the top side, Tamura comes with him, and Soma with Yonezu goes to the middle battlefield to apply pressure

When Ken and Tamura got there, Inazuke was retreating since he had low health

"Are you ok?" Ask Ken

"Yea, I was until they decided to protect the base" And point at the enemy, who came 5 again to protect the top side

"If you keep there, we can push the middle too," Says Soma through the device

Inazuke stop backing but Ken grabs him and says

"No, You need to go back, I can deal with them"

"Are you crazy, they are 5, and have a lot of crowd control because of the tank!"

Ken steps in front of Inazuke and starts approaching the opponents

"I have a full build you know" Murmurs Ken and gets in front of their tank

The tank that was of massive sizes compared to Ken looks down at him

"You still have a bounty kid" and saying that he activates again the skill that gave him a lot of armor and shield

Ken draws his sword, and using his wind cycling ability he blinks behind the tank to take out their supports first

"I WILL NOT LET YOU" Shouts the tank and tries to slam the ground around him with his fists to stun Ken.

But before his fists could reach the ground, Tamura jumps from a bush and cast his ultimate on the tank making him disappear

"Good one Tamura," Thinks Ken and starts dashing and defeating every opponent. When the tank finally gets out from Tamura ultimate, he meets with Ken that was glowing green

"Your assassin friend didn't even scratch me, how are you thinking you can defeat me?" Says the tank pissed of

Ken just calmly says

"He doesn't have a passive with true damage"

Ken had the wind cycling buff on him, that made him deal more true damage on his passive, and he still had the 5 dashes from defeating the other opponents to maintain that, and to speak of his other passive that made him deal double damage on his fourth attack, being at full build meant that Ken had a huge attack speed, so he killed presumably the beefiest person he ever saw in his life, in less than a minute

And thus Yonezu and Soma destroy their main base achieving "Twenty levels scaling" their first win in an official match

The announcer proudly said "Victory". Everyone was happy about their victory until the announcer said

"MVP: Soma"
