His Mate's Sister

Have you ever wondered how those sci-fi writers come up with stories they write, I mean how did they come up with werewolves and vampires in the first place? What influenced them? Who influenced them? Does the supernatural actually exist? Well I never thought they did, that is until I was 23 years old. My name is Emily Williams and I live in a small town called Haddonfield, it's just outside New Jersey. I graduated business when I was 22, I'm what my parents call gifted. I've spent the last year helping my dad manage the family's restaurant and bakery, my dad always dreamed of leaving the two businesses to my sister Lori and I. He's getting that dream this year as he and my mom are retiring and relocating to Arizona, I hope we can live up to his expectations. I spent my whole life here in this town, it's so small that everybody knows everybody. My parents grew up here too, their best friends just happen to be the parents of my best friend Frank. We grew up in the same house my dad grew up in, it's a nice two story house with a wrap around porch and it has four bedrooms. Lori is the oldest then I'm in the middle and the youngest is Amy. You know the saying "The middle child is always the quiet one and most ignored", well that wasn't me. Yes I was quiet but I was too smart, I always got straight A's and my parents gave me more attention than my sisters. When I was 3 I started reading words and writing letters, that was the first sign that I was different and according to my parents "special". They took me to be tested when I was 9 and it turned out my IQ was off the charts, my parents were told that skipping a couple grades would be best for me so I wouldn't become bored but they decided against it. I spent all my free time either in my room reading or at the library studying, I've read just about every book ever printed and some digital ones too. By the time I was 16 I had earned all the credits I needed to graduate early then I went off to college to get a degree in business. I graduated with a bachelor's in business when I was 22 then moved back home to help my dad, Lori just finished culinary school this Spring. Amy is a freshman in college and she acts like she doesn't have a care in the world, my parents gave her an option to transfer to an Arizona college or stay here with Lori and me, she stayed. Frank and I have been friends almost our whole lives, his mom and my mom were pregnant at the same time. We all went to school together, Lori is a year younger than Frank's older brother Fred, but Frank and I are only a few months apart. If it hadn't been for him I would never had made it through grade school, he's my best friend.
