Chapter 33

Annalissa's POV

We meet in Alpha Xander’s office about an hour later. I tell them about Brian and Finley and we excuse him from the meeting.

“I called this meeting because I feel we are all working towards similar goals. Annalisa wants to bring down Dark Hollow. As we all have seen in the files and videos Dark Hollow is part of a trafficking ring. Stopping them hopefully stops the ring. But we also want to get the others involved. With the information Annalisa took, we know who the major players are and can work to take them down. In addition, Derrick has a theory of the Elders Council being corrupt. We think they are at least aware of the trafficking ring if not participating in it. Now it may not be all, but at least a majority. You can’t have the number of missing shewolves without the council being informed. My issue is the Werewolf King. I am concerned that no one has seen him since he took power four years ago. I feel he is being manipulated or held hostage by the Council. This allows them to rule under his name. Thus, allowing all of this bad s**t to happen. I would like us to join forces. To take out Dark Hollow, expose and shut down the trafficking ring, expose the Elder Council and locate the King” Xander says

“Okay, I am onboard with this plan. There is something I need to tell everyone, but it doesn’t leave this room. Thane and Tessa are already aware. When I was in the coma, I was visited by my parents and The Moon Goddess. My parents told me to trust you, Uncle Derrick and my family. Also, my charm bracelet will give me everything I need. The Moon Goddess said that the weak are being exploited and people in power are ruining the Kingdom. She asked me to be The Guardian of the Kingdom. To avenge the weak and fix the problems among her creations. I feel what Alpha Xander pointed out is what The Goddess was also concerned about. Destroying Dark Hollow was going to happen anyway. Finding the other players of the trafficking ring is a must, especially after what we have seen. We have to help these women, and If the Elder Council are aware and condoning this, then they must fall too. My issue is the King. How do we know he is not aware and involved in all of this?” I say

“I don’t. I would like to let you know that King Nicholas is my cousin. Our grandmothers are stepsisters. We were close prior to him taking the throne. Since his inauguration, I have not seen nor heard from him, no matter how hard I try. I believe in my soul that he is not involved in this. The Nicholas I know would fight against stuff like this. But if he is then we take him down too. I love my cousin, but I will not risk the whole Kingdom for him”

“I have been trying to figure out how to proceed with exposing the Council. I feel they are all corrupt in one way or another. The process for removing an Elder is either by the vote of the King or a majority vote of the Alpha’s” Uncle Derrick says

“So, first we need to find out what’s going on with the King. If we get him to our side, then we can expose the Council. If not, can we get majority vote of the Alpha’s?” Thane asks

“That’s a possibility, but it will take time reaching out to them or getting them all together. Then arguing our case and trying to get them onboard. That way may be hard. There are 123 Alpha’s in the US, including Dark Hollow. We know twenty are involved in the trafficking ring. That leaves 101 we would still need to convince” Derrick says

“We have alliances with eighty not including Full Moon. So, if we gathered those 80 to discuss the situation, how many do you think would join us?” Thane asks

“Of the 80, maybe around 50, a little more than half. I have alliances with others, but they are more symbiotic relationships, not friendships” Derrick says

“I don’t know who your 80 are, but I can maybe say 60 on my end. We would have to see where our numbers duplicate” Xander says

“How about we hit the plan from both ends. Alpha Derrick can compile all the information he has to present a case to the King.

Alpha Xander, we can get the pack and compare our friendly list with Alpha Derrick’s friendly list. That way we have a better idea what our numbers look like. We then plan a meeting of our alliances to present the information we have. During this time Annalisa starts her crusade, starting with Dark Hollow. Next, she attacks the list of those participating in the trafficking ring. We also try to get her into the castle to see the King. We can use the information we got from Trevor for this” Corey, Xander’s Gamma says

“Information from Trevor?” Aunt Opal questions

“The assignment I had Trevor on was to infiltrate the castle. He went in as an omega that worked with the house staff. He has a layout and guard posts along with shift changes and blind spots. As long as nothing has changed, we should be able to get Anna in easily” Xander says

“What do we do with the members of Dark Hollow?” I question

“The women we relocate. The men we interrogate. They can be bought to Crystal Lake because it’s closer or we can go the pack after Anna takes out the ranked members” Derrick says

“I think you guys rolling in behind me is a better idea. Just finding a time I know they will all be there is helpful” I say

“I got that for you” Teresa says getting up

“They are having a birthday party for Blake; we just received an invitation. It’s in six weeks. I can go in with you or Xander and set things up for you. We have time to plan” she says

“Okay, that will be a happy birthday present for me too. I like it. Let me think of how to make it work, and I’ll let you know. Since we must wait six weeks for that. Let’s work on getting me in to see the King” I say

We talked for a bit more, putting plans and tentative dates together. My next step is sitting with Trevor to go over the layout of the palace
