He immediately slammed into me with a hug that would’ve knocked me off my feet had his arms not been wrapped around me.
“I’ve missed you so much, E! I’m so glad you’re ok!”
“I missed you too, Z.” I patted him awkwardly on the back as he continued squeezing me tightly.
I quieted the million questions running through my mind and allowed myself a brief moment to hug him back. I really had missed him. We had grown up in that place together, survived that place together. It was nearly impossible to break a bond like that.
