Chapter 13
While it made Vanessa uncomfortable, they waited until dark to make their move. She'd moved the car from their initial parking place to a better spot underneath a large, old oak tree which provided more privacy and hid the car from view of the house they were planning on breaking into once the sun went down.
Vanessa watched Emma Jane, thinking that she would have made an excellent undercover officer. Her lips curved in amusement as she pictured Emma Jane dressed in a formfitting black suit, wearing sunglasses and carrying a gun. She could see the heading now – Emma Jane Cooper, Undercover Agent. "What are you laughing about?"
