Vanessa drove carefully after googling the location of the hospital in Nîmes. She hadn't wanted to take the girl to the hospital near Gévaudan, because although it was a longer drive to Nîmes, it avoided the possibility of running into any locals who may have been involved in the kidnapping. Luckily, it was within an hour's drive so it gave Vanessa and Emma Jane a chance to plan what they should do next. Emma Jane hadn't sensed anyone else in the house after she'd defeated Jean Francois, so they'd left without searching further for Pierre, certain that there was second location and he was likely elsewhere, planning another atrocity.
