6 Talrun Andrea was unlike any woman I’d been with before, and it wasn’t just because she was an alien. Of course, there was the thrill of flirting with someone who wasn’t Daqtarian; while we had plenty of aliens, including some humans, on our world, interspecies dating still wasn’t as common as one might expect and I hadn’t had as many opportunities as I would’ve liked. But it wasn’t just that, nor was it the visit of the Timewalker who’d blessed our first contact. Even if Andrea was a normal, Daqtarian woman who hadn’t attracted the Timewalkers’ notice, I’d have liked her. Then again, if she was a normal Daqtarian woman I probably wouldn’t have run into her to begin with. There was always something special about the Timewalkers’ meddling; it was said that they could see into the past
