Awakening.

Gabby’s pov.

I’m asleep and everything is black I can’t see anything or feel May. I need to wake up and sort out what happens next.

Unknown: “Gabby you have to wake up now and put things right. Rai will understand.”

Uh what the heck? But before I can formulate the words I feel a push forward and I’m in my room again with my sisters. Ok what the f**k just happened? One second I’m rejecting my mate and then I’m back at the pack, ok let’s see if I can figure this out. I can’t feel May it’s like before my birthday, I’m back at the pack and I’ve just had one heck of a dream. A dream that felt so real, ok this might sound crazy but what if it wasn’t a dream but something that showed me what is going to happen. Oh crap the voice said something about changing what happened. As I can’t feel May and I’m back in the pack it must be before my birthday. Oh f**k the rouge attack. There’s no way I can stop that from happening and there’s no point in trying to worn the Alpha. What else can I change? The dream or whatever it was, told me something. Uh I’m such an i***t it showed me how to get to safety………… (face palm) I’ve got time to get as many people as possible out before the attack. I jump out of bed, get dressed and go to wake up my mum.

“Mum you need to wake up.”

Mum: “Gabby what’s going on? Is it one of the girls?”

“The girls are fine. We haven’t got time for me to explain everything but we have to get out of the pack now with as many people as possible, women, children and anyone else that doesn’t agree with the Alpha. The pack is going to be attacked by rouge’s tomorrow morning and we won’t survive.”

My mum’s eyes are wide her mouth opening and closing but she can’t get a word out, she nods getting out of bed gets dressed.

Mum: “Ok Gabby get your sister’s up and dressed then go to spread the word to the women I’ll go get male omegas. Where are we meeting?”

“The big oak tree at the edge of the forest, tell them to grab anything that can hold water and fill them up and as much food as possible oh and to be prepared to run.”

I get the girls up and dressed grab our bag, a knife and fill the water bottles. The girls are looking at me confused.

“Sorry girls I haven’t got time to explain but we need to get out of here.”

For the next 20 minutes or so I go from house to house getting people up, the older kids help me get as many people up as possible. When I get to the oak tree there is about 150 people there. Women have babies tided to their backs the older kids have bags on their backs and in their hands. When they see me coming the men pick up the younger children.

“I’ll explain as soon as I can but we need to run now as fast as possible.”

Everyone nods I scan the forest looking for something familiar from my ‘dream’. I can see the path we need to take and start running with everyone running behind me.

We run for about an hour then take a break drinking some water. Then start walking.

Mum: “Gabby we’ve just crossed over the pack border, the Alpha will have felt us leaving the pack.”

“s**t!!!! Sorry everyone but we have to run again.”

There are a few grumbles but everyone starts running again. I feel a snap in my head.

“Hi Gabby it’s nice to meet you again.”

“May?”

Laughing in my head. I feel a surge of strength. Ok that’s different then in my ‘dream’.

May: “We’re not under an Alpha order this time. We won’t shift yet as the first time is very painful and takes a while so we’ll wait until we’re somewhere safe.”

“Good point and I agree shifting would not be a good idea at the moment.”

“Ok everyone we’re going to have a few hours rest, I think it would be a good idea if a couple of people stayed awake on watch, with someone else taking over in an hour.”

No one disagrees, we all eat some food. 4 people volunteered for the first watch 4 others said to wake them up for the next one. My sisters lay down in between mum and I.

I wake up needing to pee so I make my way to one of the guys on watch.

“I’m just going to go relieve myself in the bushes behind you.”

He nods. I’m just about to go back to the others when I’m grabbed from behind, a hand is put over my mouth an arm is around my waist I’m lifted into the air and carried away. I’m struggling and trying to kick whoever has hold of me. He puts me down and turns me around I try to fight him off but he’s stronger than me and punches me in the face everything goes black as I pass out.
