The Lostpack

Scared.

Gabby’s pov.

My mum, Lucy, five other women, my sisters, two other children and I walk towards the place from my ‘dream’ where we were found. Four men suddenly come out from behind the trees.

Unknown: “Hi my name is Kale. It’s ok we’re not going to hurt you. Please come with us and we’ll take you to our Alpha.”

“It’s nice to meet you Kale my name is Gabby. Thank you.”

For the rest of the walk to the pack house no one talked. But we looked around in amazement, everyone seemed so happy!!! Couples walking hand in hand, children running around playing and laughing. The houses around the pack grounds look cute, there are flowers everywhere and I can smell farm animals. The pack house is massive about twice the size of the pack house I’ve grown up with but looks pretty and welcoming. We walk into the house down a corridor stopping by a big door and Kale nocks on it.

Unknown: “COME IN.”

Kale opens the door and steps in side, the other guys stay outside as we follow him into the room.

Alpha Luke: “Thank you Kale. Hello ladies my name is Luke and I’m the Alpha this is my mate Luna Molly. Welcome to The Twilight Moon Pack. I don’t mean to be rude but I take it you’ve all run away from your pack!!”

Kale nods to us and leaves the room. Now that we are here although they look friendly I clam up and can’t talk. The shock from everything that’s happened plus exhaustion and lack of food hits me hard, my legs give out and I end up on the floor crying.

Molly: “Oh child what you all must have been through. We’re going to leave you alone for a while and get someone else for you to talk as I think you’ll be more comfortable with her.”

Mum: “Thank you Luna Molly.”

A couple of minutes later the door opens and two women walk in carrying a tray of food each. They put them down on a table and leave.

Meg: “Do you think that’s for us?”

Mum: “I think so they saw that the Alpha and Luna aren’t here yet they left it.”

Lucy and one of the other girls pick up the trays and put them on the floor everyone sits down in a circle we start eating. It feels so good to eat proper food after only eating berries for the last few days. Just as we finished the food the door opens a girl about my age walks in closing the door after her. We all jump up to our feet.

Unknown: “Hello my name is Rai I’m the future Luna. I can help you but I need to know what happened to you to do so.”

Oh my she’s who the moongoddess told me that would understand.

“Hello Rai my name is Gabby, we will tell you but no one else.”

“I will have to tell Alpha Luke, Jace my mate and Gabby you will have to tell your mate I know you know he is here.”

What the heck is going on here how the hell does she know that!!!

“How do you know that? I suppose it would be easier for them to hear it at the same time, can you get them?”

“I have my ways and I just mind linked them. Someone is coming to take the children to the kitchen.”

Unknown: “Hello my name is Mary thank you that would be very kind of you, they are hungry and don’t need to hear this.”

“That’s okay and I thought that might be the case.”

The door opens the Alpha, Luna, two guys and two young women come in.

Unknown: “Hi my name is Lizzie I’m the future Beta female and this is Jess the future Gamma female we can take care of the children while you talk”

We nod in agreement Lizzie and Jess leave with the children.

Rai and one of the guys look like they’re mind linking. May is going nuts in my head shouting mate but with so many people in the room I can’t tell who it is.

Alpha Luke: “Ok everyone take a seat, let’s hear what the ladies have to say.”

Unknown: “Hello my name is Jake and one of you is my mate. I get the impression I’m really not going to like what you have to say. Please remember that I’m not angry with any of you and don’t be scared of me.”

“Hello Jake I’m Gabby your mate. Please wait until you’ve heard our story before excepting me.”

Unknown: “Hi I’m Jace the future Alpha, Rai’s mate. Now I understand why Jake is here.”

Mum: “Hello my name is Victoria I’m Gabby’s mother as well as two of the girls that went with your ranked females. I’m going to start our tale.”

Mum starts the tale with the attack that killed the Luna and sent the Alpha mad. Luna Molly and Rai move to sit on their respective mates laps. Out of the corner of my eye I look at Jake he is trying not to cry. My mum explains how the pack worked and the Alpha order put on us.

Now it’s time for my part of the tale. I start with my ‘dream’. Everyone in the room is angry and when I get to the part about having to reject Jake, he looks like he’s in just as pain at the thought of me rejecting him as if I had actually rejected him.

“Just as I was waking up a voice said ‘Now you can make things right. Rai will understand.’ It took me a while to figure out what she meant by making things right and I’m really hoping that Rai does understand because I’m so confused about how the ‘dream’ happened and that it led us here. The next part of our tale is going to be very difficult for me to tell and for you to hear.”

Luna Molly: “Oh sweetie don’t worry we all understand how your dream came about and we will explain later. I think we can all guess what happened to you on your way here so you don’t have to say anything about it if you don’t want to.”

Jake growls.

“You was r***d? Is the fucker still a live?”

With my head down and tears streaming.

“Yes and he’s dead some of the males with us killed him.”
