Jake’s pov.

Angry doesn’t cover how I feel about what Gabby and the rest of her group has been through. Kade my wolf is going mental.

Kade: “Except mate.”

“I’m going to. But we will have to be patient with her mating and marking will have to wait until she is ready to.”

“I know, don’t care how long I have to wait I just want her to know I want her.”

“Ok bud.”

Molly hugs each of them and leaves, probably so she can let the tears out that she’s holding back. Rai looks like she’s having the same problem. I stand up walk over to Gabby and drop down onto a knee.

“I Jake except you Gabby as my mate. I would like us to get to know each other and I will wait for you to be ready to except me.”

“Thank you Jake my wolf and I would like to get to know you too and appreciate your patience but it could be years before I’m ready.”

I get up move to stand behind her, she looks up at me with tears in her eyes and nods at me.

Mary: “There are more of us in the woods just outside of your pack boundary. We were unsure how you would react to us and felt that a smaller group would be more likely to be able to talk to you.”

Rai: “Where are they we will go get them.”

Alpha Luke: “Rai you are staying here, Jace and some of the warriors will go get them.”

Jace got up kissed her and left the room.

Luke: “How many people are with you? We don’t have much in the way of spare accommodation, so some people are going to have to sleep in tents for the time being. The pack hospital is available for anyone who needs it.”

Gabby: “Thank you Alpha we appreciate your support and hospitality, we’re just grateful to be here. Including us 150 adults manly woman and 63 children.”

Oh f*****g hell she saved so many lives.

Rai: “Come with me ladies we will meet up with your group and find you all somewhere to stay.

:Uh Gabby and her family are welcome to stay with me. It’s just my sister Alice and I, the girls would have to share.

Victoria: “Thank you Jake that’s very kind of you, lead the way.”

“Alice is at school so you’ll meet her later. I’m afraid we don’t have much just what Alpha Luke provided for us when we got here.”

Gabby: “What do you mean by when you got here?”

“Alice and I moved here a while ago, it’s a long story and I’ll tell you about it later. Here we are home sweet home. We have a siting room, kitchen/dinner and 3 bedrooms, as I said the girls will have to share, Gabby you can have my room and Victoria can have the other room sorry but that room has just got a bed in it. I will have the sofa. Plus we have to share the bathroom.”

Gabby: “I can’t take your room that’s not fair on you I can share with mum.”

Victoria and I look at each other then at Gabby kind of ganging up on her but for different reasons.

Victoria: “I’m going to get the girls washed, then have a shower. Gabby Rai said that someone will be bringing us some clothes can you please take some to my room for the girls and I?”

Gabby nods

“I’ll show you to your rooms then I’ll go get some food as there isn’t enough for us all for dinner.”

I leave them to get settled in and go food shopping. Crap I forgot to ask what they like to eat. When I get to the shop I decide to get a wide variety of different food, if they don’t like something I’ll eat it.

I get home and put the food away. I can hear talking upstairs I grab the last bag and go upstairs. They are in what is now the girls bedroom.

Gabby: “Hi sorry I hope this is okay Rai came and brought a mattress for the girls to sleep on we wanted to get it set up.”

“Hay it’s okay this is your home now I want you to feel comfortable. Meg and Ruby these are for you, they need a new home to so I thought they could live with you.”

I hand them a cuddly toy bear each. They look at Victoria who smiles and nods. They take the toys and hug them close.

Gabby: “Thank you Jake that’s a very sweet gesture.”

“I got some food but I’m an i***t and didn’t ask what you all like. Gabby can you please come to the kitchen and let me know what you all want for dinner. Alice and I will eat anything.”

Gabby: “Ok while we cook you can tell me your story.”

Alice comes running into the house.

“Jake there are new people like we were…… oh hello.”

“Everyone this is Alice my 8 year old going on 15 year old sister, Alice this is Gabby, her mother Victoria, her sisters Meg and Ruby they are going to be living with us.”

“Gabby are you my brother’s mate?”

“Alice what the heck have I told you about speaking before you think!!!”

Gabby: “Yes Alice we are mates.”

Hearing her say that makes my heart go faster and Kane very happy.

“Alice it’s going to be a bit of a squeeze in here, Meg and Ruby are sharing your room.”

“That’s cool I’ve always wanted a little sister now I’ve got two.”
