Chapter fifty three: The Howl of the Moonlit Wolf

1173 Words
Silver Cassano's dancing ball of fire had scared other wolves. He felt how their breathings shortened as it swirl along with the now heated atmosphere of the place. He was just glad that he managed to use the fire cocoon's skill soon as he saw how the Moon Wolf is going to kill and eat him. Now, it gained them more advantage. For him, confidence. He can feel the glares of the Moon Wolves towards him. Surprisingly, he does not feel being bad or scared from those glares. He loved it. It thrilled him. He then felt that he grew used to the setup of the game. There is always killing. They always need to survive. They always need to feel fear. They always have to chase their seemingly escaping short lives. And Silver grew used to it. Now, he was just starting to play this real killing game as if it was just a thing of normality. In fact, he was starting to enjoy the game. He then shadow stepped while the Moon Wolves were still bothered from his previous attack. He appeared at the front of one of the Moon Wolf, while the fire cocoon was still activated on him. Shock plastered the face of the Moon Wolf as it realized that Silver was at his front. It was about to make a move, a counter, so that it won't face the verdict of Silver's whip. But it was already late. Silver slashed the burning whip at its face, causing the Moon Wolf's body to be divided into two, and burn until being black and ashen. Not a few second after he landed on the ground, he jumped again and head out to another Moon Wolf. He made a wild s***h. Then he jumped again, and slashed, and jumped, and killed. Until he realized that in just a second, he cleared the whole room, killed the pack of wolves, and made his comrades feel shock and fascination as they witnessed his overpowering. Alina, just like what Jiero and Yohanna has been feeling, was shock with Silver's power. She knew he was powerful. She already knew he can commit to that kind of attack. But by witnessing how his skills and power overflows, she cannot help herself but be shocked—and feel fascinated. Soon as Silver showed himself in their front, Alina can see the beautiful carving of his face, and of his built. She cannot deny how attractive Silver as a man. “Have you seen the key?” he said. What makes him more attractive and interesting, is his seriousness. Indeed, she witnessed how the man became playful for once, but the moment the atmosphere became serious, he emerged through it as well. And he cannot break from it, unless the hardship was already done. With that, he doesn't know how attractive-looking he is. “Me not seen key.” Jiero was the one who answered Silver's question. With that, Alina gathered her thoughts back to its place, and started scanning the whole place. The Moon Wolves has finally disappeared at the room. Like holograms, it disintegrated. But as she searched the whole surrounding, she had seen no key nor anything that can be used to open the metallic door. “Indeed, the key was nowhere found,” seconded her. “What does that mean?” Silver asked. Alina used her Sabertooth to check whether the key was in the place, but still, she wasn't able to see it. “Does that mean we're not done in this place yet? Are there more beasts?” Yohanna panicked with the fact that she had said. She bit her fingernails and started to feel the pressure of the place. And she was right. They were not yet done. They need to fight another beast, to end up opening this room. A wolf had materialized at their front. Yet, despite it resembling the feature of the wolf they had fought earlier, this one was different. And Silver knew, this one was powerful. A bright, red crescent-shaped moon was in the Wolf's forehead. Its eyes was of in blood color as well. Its size doubles the earlier wolves that they had fought, and it was made of black and white shadows of light. Indeed, Silver knew that the wolf was made of swirling silvery white and dark light. It doesn't have a tangible body, but all was made of an eerie light they had never thought would happen. Those dancing lights felt like Silver's fire. It was heavily forming its shape by just a certain pulling force in order to maintain the form of the lights. “Moonlit Wolf,” said Alina. Now, Silver and his comrades prepared themselves. They have sensed an extraordinary danger screaming from the form of the Moonlit Wolf. As it opened its mouth, Silver shouted a horrified, “Run!” The beast formed a circular beam of light at its mouth, and let it burst at where they were standing. Alina ran at the left side, along with Jiero. Silver and Yohanna at the right side. Alina prepared her Airbow. She stopped running, and pointed her weapon right at where the peculiar wolf stands. But it wasn't there anymore. Her eyebrows collided as confusion ran through her. ‘Where is that wolf?’ she asked herself. Then she felt it. The presence, the immense power, the pressuring glare. “Alina!” she heard Silver screaming. But for her, he was already late. A howl the Moon Wolf had made just behind Alina. It was utterly disturbing, the sound. By just the wave of the Moonlit Wolf’s howl, Alina screamed. Her ears felt as if a sharp weapon has been piercing it. She shouted louder. She closed her eyes as an unexplainable pain ran through her. Her ears bled. A lot of blood. And her voice is trembling, her knees weak, her capacity as a warrior and her strength was slowly . . . drifting away of her. And an explosion. Alina’s unconscious body was thrown away. Her eyes were shut, her body weak and damned. Jiero bolted towards her, and caught her body before it could hardly fall on the ground. Tears ran down through his eyes as he can see, by the grids and calculations of his eyes, that Alina's breathing was too faint, too weak, ready to escape. Ready to die. “Alina!” he screamed. Silver trembled. So is Yohanna. Their insides was shaking; of fear for Alina's condition, of anger for the Moonlit Wolf who had assaulted her. Then on Silver's eyes, the bright gleam of it died. A heavy aura had punched the whole surrounding. The fire on his whip strengthened. The fire was too hot, yet his eyes are cold and dead. Yohanna saw it. She can feel his anger. With that, it gave her a responsibility to equate the power that Silver has been emanating. With a quick, simultaneous move, Silver and Yohanna attacked the Moonlit Wolf.
