Chapter fifty two: Moon Wolves

Silver stared at the golden item dropped at the floor, soon as the Festooni died from their hands. He then realized that those creatures did not drop any kind of loots, but only the golden colored key. He immediately saw the resemblance of the key's shape and of the key hole found in the middle of the metallic door. “I got it already,” he said as he neared and picked the golden key, shaped and designed in crescent moon. He showed it to his comrades, and let them process what it was for. “The key.” Alina instinctively looked at the metallic door. “I guess I know what we have to play now.” Yohanna and Jiero nodded, for they understood it as well. “Do not drop or deactivate your skills and weapon. We're having more bloody fights,” said him as he neared the door, placed the key—a perfect fit—at the keyhole, and unlocked it. A metal clicking sound has snapped in their ears. Then the creaking of the door. Behind it, was still similar to what they had entered, as they fought the Festooni. The same ambience had welcomed them, the same colors, the same design, and the old, rustic vibe of the walls and ceiling. Only that it is wider. The size of the place were at least three times massive than the first room of Festooni. Soon as they stepped in the next room, the door towards the room of Festooni had disappeared. Jiero scanned the whole place. His gray eyes and the grids placed on the whole surrounding was activated. “Here still was same,” said the child. Silver nodded. “And I believe we will be facing groups of monsters again.” “Then we must keep oursel—” Yohanna had her sudden stop of talking, as a gush of the wind flew just beside her head, going straight to her back, where a tiny dog's cry had appeared. Alina was wielding her Airbow. It was pointed at her. No, at her back. Then, Alina rushed to her. She stared at her stunned face, and held her shoulder. “Yohanna, are you okay?” she asked. Yohanna nodded, but still flustered with what Alina had done. “I—I am alright.” “I'm sorry,” Alina committed. From their back, a shadowy figure has appeared; a dust of white, forming a creature— a beast. “Alina, watch out!” Yohanna shouted. She immediately summoned a line of thunder as she realized that the white shadowy figure was in fact a forming of a wolf. A white wolf. A Moon Wolf. She heard a cry as the Moon Wolf fell on its knees, and dropped to death from the high electric voltage. “Now, we're tied.” Alina laughed. Yohanna cannot help herself but to laugh too. Yet, they also knew the seriousness of this place. From the other side, they saw Silver and Jiero fighting pack of Moon Wolves. Their moving bodies were incredible and fascinating. One second a wolf was attacking them, then in a snap, they changed the course, and become the hunter. The snap of their skills and the strength that they have been showing was something that Alina and Yohanna found reassuring, now that they were being challenged by the tower of Artemis. Yet, a woman’s power shall never be underestimated. Two Moon Wolves attacked them in opposite direction. Yohanna and Alina saw through it. They quickly moved, back towards each other, and faced the wolves with immense aura and power. Soon, before the wolf could attack them by their glaring fangs and sharp claws, their head exploded in white blood, as gush of the air flew through one wolf, and a piercing lightning to the other. “Let's finish this fast,” Alina said. Yohanna nodded, and ran on the opposite direction where Alina had forced her feet. Now one Moon wolf attacked Yohanna from beside. But she had her eyes. Soon as she was about to be bitten by it, her body exploded into lightning. Similar with Jiero, she can use and turn her body into a group of lightning. That way, she can lure a lot of beasts, pretend they could attack her, then just press the button for an electrifying surprise. She then jumped and neared another wolf by which the attention was not in her. As soon as her knee connected to the wolf's jaw, an electric shock escaped from her knee cap. Then she spun in the air, and gave one hard lightning kick at the upper head. It then caused the wolf to stumble and forcefully kiss the ground. The man who was watching her had smiled in amusement. “That was cool,” said Silver. Yohanna turned her stare away from his handsome features. She, for sure, cannot possibly stare at it for a long time. “W—We have to finish this fast,” she then said to remove the awkwardness she was feeling. Silver understood it. Just like Yohanna, he wanted to finish this thing as soon as possible. He was fascinated and amazed by how Yohanna gracefully moved. In fact, it inspired him to move just like her. But his style was different. He was a snap attacker. He casted spring jump, and rocketed to the next wolf that was coming to him. His vine was burning from the fire orb he had waited to activate. On the other hand, the Moon Wolf was opening its mouth, showing off its sharp teeth, and ready to eat him. Silver smiled. He was getting used to fight with his new found skills. He landed his right feet to the Moon Wolf’s lower fangs, and just as the Moon Wolf was about to close his jaw, trying to eat him, he immediately jumped away. A face of disappointment. That was what he saw to the Moon Wolf as soon as he jumped away. There was this weird satisfaction inside him as he saw the disappointment of the beast. Then, he whipped his weapon, causing a wave of fire that rapidly travelled the air, and burned the wolf until death. As soon as he landed, another wolf was about to attack him. The wolf was definitely ready, for as soon as Silver landed, still unaware, it launched an attack, opened its mouth, and ate him whole. It felt as if a slow motion. Alina saw it. She saw how Silver's face threw shock and panic as he saw the glaring fangs of the wolf. “Silver!” she shouted. But Silver knew what was to do, she realized. Soon as the wolf was about to bite him, an explosion of fire had occurred from his body. The Moon Wolf cried, and burned. Upon where Silver was standing, a ball of dancing fire had terrified the few remaining wolves.
