4 Later that afternoon, Samantha made her way downstairs with a pleasant ache lingering in her body. She rubbed her forearm and rotated her shoulder, trying to soothe the tensed muscle, and clicked her jaw. She’d forgotten just how out of practice she was. Unsurprisingly, Lilith was still asleep but that gave her the perfect chance to wake her up with a cup of coffee. Maybe it was silly, but Samantha missed the boring, mundane parts of a relationship more than the romance or exciting courtship. If anything, those parts were stressful. She didn’t know how to flirt or keep someone interested, but making two cups of coffee in the morning and asking how someone’s day went were right up her alley.
