Loredana's POV When training was done, Alpha Theodore came out calling King Joe to the side for a chat. We all started to get ready to leave when all of us stopped. Alpha Theodore has asked us to leave, his Luna has been taken and the note says she will come back unharmed once we have gone. You could tell he was upset. But the question was what was the reason. "Alright let's pack up!" Athens looked at me, "Can you arrange vehicles?" I nodded and grabbed my phone. Calling the car service was easy, deciding where to take them was harder. Athens stood next to me once I arranged for pick up. "I have a place we can go for a couple of days, it's on the Isle of Mann. will be along the way to the Irish packs." He mentioned. "Sounds like a good Idea we have two more days before we are to be there. Perhaps I can get us there a day early." I shrugged. The Irish packs were a bit difficult to get to but if they had an invitation I hoped we could come in a day early at the soonest. "Sounds good, I will go have my servants prep the house." He smiled then disappeared, making me jump. "Here I will follow you to your room so you can get packed." Mike took my elbow, to lead me to the house. "What about you?" I asked. "Logan and Tiffany will get my things together." He shrugged with a smile. *************** Two hours later the crew was packed, loaded, and in the cars headed for Athens private ferry. We would arrive at his place in the late evening. I had left messages with All three Irish packs to see which would be willing to accommodate us earlier. I was a little flustered. Getting out of the cars, after we got on the ferry I walked to the bow of it to let the cold breeze hit me. I needed to clear out the flustered feelings I had before chatting with everyone. The boat rocked roughly as the smell of salt, water, and that heavy air filled with kelp and sea life. I breathed it in and felt the air rattle out some of my miss placed anger. I could see the fog in the distance as I held tightly to the side of the boat. The rocking of the boat on the water was giving me helluva a time. I wanted to go back and sit in the car but letting go of the side really was not something I wanted to do with the jostle of the ferry. Where are you kitten? I heArd Mike say in my head. I am at the bow of the boat. I sighed. Here came my knight in shining armor. I turned to see him plowing through the line of cars, to me. You could see the concerned look in his eye as he came to me. "It is freezing out here," he wrapped his arms around me. "It is a bit chilly," as we both almost flopped forward from the ship pushing through the choppy water. I giggled as Mike grabbed the railing of the ship to hold us up. "You think this is funny?" His eyes showing alarm and a little bit of hurt. "Not funny, it's just a reaction to something I can't control." I shrug, a grin still on my lips. He shook his head as a smile appeared on his lips. "Well, let's get you to a spot that is warmer than this." Hauling me to his side tightly he held the railing as we made our way back to the room he came from. burst through the door, I noticed all eyes on us as each one had a warm mug of coffee or hot chocolate and a small sandwich. "Coffee or hot chocolate?" He asked as we wandered closer to the table with the goodies on them. "Coffee please," I smiled at him as I rubbed my hands together. When the warm cup filled with the yummy brown liquid touched my hands, I reAlized the tingles were because my fingers were numb from the cold. I sipped it as I glanced around to see everyone huddled near each other warming. Mike wrapped an arm around me pulling me to him. "Are you warming up?" He murmured near my ear. 'Yes, thanks," I said over the brim of my coffee mug. "Lory get over here by this heater and warm-up!" Tiffany stood up to shout over to me. I smiled and wandered over there as she waved me closer. I settled down near her as she wrapped an arm around me. Mike stiffened but settled next to me as well. The heater stationed in the middle of the room was perfection. I groaned when they called down to get back in our cars. But we did as the ship was coming to a halt at the dock. The front was lowered and we drove from the dock on to the Isle of Mann. You could feel the history and the magic of the island hit you like a wave of something unexpected. The history of the place was both unique and dangerous all at the same. time. Magic was in the very stone the island was on. All of us supernatural peeps could feel it. Death hovered like a protective brother in the mists that surrounded the Isle itself. The cars drove through a village then we followed hedges and stone walls into the country. Another village popped up then disappeared as we found a small dirt road with stone walls on each side. the closer we got to the house, the trees appeared. . The house that came into view was a small grey stone castle of a sort. There was A courtyard we pulled into and a water fountain with a huge stone horse at the top. Footmen got the doors as we got out. Athens's voice bellowed out, "Welcome!" We saw both Athens and Johnny standing at the top of the stairs. Athens looked lord of the manor, his mate looked slightly out of place.
