It's been two days and still nothing. Is Liam even looking for me? Kai's gone out today and hasn't returned. I haven't eaten or drunk anything since I've been here, which is stupid because I need to for the baby. I'm going to have to convince him I'm on his side for the sake of the baby. Just as I was finishing that thought, Kai came through the door with a huge clothing bag.
Me: What's that?
Kai: Your wedding dress.
Me: For what?!
Kai: I'm taking you down to the courthouse in a few days.
Me: For what?!
Kai: Our wedding. We're going to elope.
Me: You can't be serious.
Kai: Oh but I am.
What the hell is he thinking? What a great story to tell. My ex kidnapped me and then forced me to marry him. The greatest love story said no one ever. I can't deal with this anymore. I have to get out of here before I lose my mind more than he has.
Me: Ummm Kai....can I have something to eat?
Kai: Now you're hungry?
Me: It's for the baby.
Kai: Let it die.
Me: How could you say that?!
Kai: It's not mine.
Me: Kai, where is the baby that WE created?
Kai: You lost it.
Me: And why is that?
Kai: Because--
Me: Because what Kai?
Kai: Because of me.
Me: And you think I want to go through that again?
Kai: I wouldn't cheat again.
Me: Awww. What a load of s**t. Kai, do you remember when we first got together after I found out the truth about Leon?
Kai: Yeah.
Me: You remember us going down by the lake where you saved me. What did you say to me before we shared our first kiss as an official couple?
Kai: I don't remember.
Me: I do. You said, I promise you I will never hurt you. I'll treat you like what you are. A princess. My princess.
Remembering those words is like a million stabs to the chest. I still can't believe he said that about the baby too. I start crying. You killed ours. Now you're willing to kill another. He walks over to me and holds a bag of chips in front of me.
Kai: Here.
Me: That's nice and all, but how can I eat if I'm tied up?
Kai: Melanie, I'll untie you, but please don't try anything stupid.
Me: I won't.
He walks behind me and unties the rope. My arms are sore from being in that position for so long. I rub my wrist. He handed me the chips and I started eating. He sits on the bed next to me.
Me: My legs?
Kai: Fine.
He unties my legs. I stand up and try to take a step. I fell on the floor but caught myself before landing on my stomach. Don't worry little one, I'll protect you. I try to stand back up. It's hard to walk when my legs have been so numb for so long. After a couple of tries, the blood is coming back to my legs and I'm able to move. I looked over at the bag.
Me: Can I see it?
Kai: See what?
Me: The dress.
Kai: Sure.
He grabs the bag happily and unzips it. The dress is to die for. It's strapless with a diamond trim at the top. The train looks about five feet long and the veil is a diamond tiara with diamonds scattered randomly on it. This dress is perfect.
Me: It's beautiful.
Kai: Like you.
Me: Yeah, yeah.
I finished eating my chips and threw the bag away. I continue to stretch my body since I'll be back in the chair soon. I'm walking around when Kai grabs me by the waist. He pulls me close to his chest.
Kai: I miss holding you like this.
Me: Let me go!
Kai: I know you miss it too. He's just a way to get back at me. I now know how you felt when you found out about Sara. It hurts. Its hurts knowing someone is touching something that belongs to you. That someone is happy with something that doesn't belong to them.
Me: You're fuckin crazy!
I try to pull away, but his grip is tight on me. With no other option, I slapped him across the face. He lets go and grabs his face.
Kai: What the hell Melanie?!
Me: I told you to let me go! I don't want you anymore.
He grabs my arms and pulls me back to the chair. He puts me back in the ropes and I'm now helpless again. He puts them on tighter than before.
Kai: Why can't you be the old Melanie?
Me: She's gone because of you.
Kai: She's still there.
Me: No she's not. She left when I walked in on you and your w***e.
Kai: She not a w***e!
Me: Now you're defending her?! I thought you wanted nothing to do with her.
Kai: I don't!
He runs his hair through his hair. Aggravation is clearly written across his face. From his hair he drags his hand down his forehead to the bridge of his nose and pinches it.
Me: Liam is going to kill you.
Kai: Oh please. Why hasn't lover boy come yet? Maybe he's realized you're just after his money and found someone else. Or maybe he decided to be with Sara. His first love.
Me: Liam would never! He does love me and I love--
Kai: Dont you fuckin say it! You do not love him! You love me!
I start laughing. I dont know who's lost their mind more. Me for feeding into his bullshit or him for his delusional mind of us getting married.
Kai: What's so funny?
Me: I dont even know myself.
Kai: Well, cut it out. Its weird.
Me: You have alot of nerve calling me weird.
I laughed even harder. The guy who kidnapped me, believes I still love him, forcing me to marry him, thinks that's weird? He's right it's not funny. It's hilarious. I can't wait for this to be over. Liam's going to kill him and I don't even think I would care anymore,
