GREY/LINONIES

Shopie went out as usual early in the morning to the old garden to watch the flower blossom,she blew the dew away from them,as her own way of paying attention to them,she believes touching the flowers so early is like disturbing their beauty sleep. suddenly she stumbled on a rare kind of beauty,she has never seen... Grey flowers? she was stunned She couldn't resist the urge to touch them...she examined and graze her fingers on the array of the grey flowers in admiration... Throughout her entire life as an ardent lover of nature,never has she seen something as beautiful as the sight in front of her... Aren't girls suppose to be dazed by roses,lilies,sunflowers and diases...a thick but enchanting male voice said to her Shopie looked around to see who the angelic voice belonged to but she couldn't see anyone...OMG.Could I be dreaming or did i sleep walk? did I just imagine the voice,She looked back towards the residential but couldn't see her house,it's foggy everywhere..she could see new flowers she has never seen there before as she moved around , the garden looked neater and strangely beautiful. This is not the old, abandoned garden she knew... Hello,hello,the voice repeated Strange flowers? angelic voices,? beautiful garden?...wait?Could this be the biblical garden of Eden?.Oh! no way..,I can't be dead.Sophie panicked and closed her eyes tightly in shock and denial. Hey! don't panic,I don't mean to scare you,open your eyes,the voice said sensing her distress Sophie opened her eyes to see the most mesmerising grey eyes she has ever seen...she was awestruck and couldn't blink for what seems like hours Hey! are you okay? shaking Sophie vigorously to come back to reality I'm Max,I acquired this side of the garden few month ago to experiment some of my work and I came up with this grey flowers and others.I just had them transferred from the nursery last week,and I'm glad they are doing fine... Sophie took her eyes off Max and her gaze fell back to her sorroundings...it is truly the same garden but it has changed,she thought...she could see new flowers she has never seen there before and the garden looked neater and strangely beautiful. The look on your face when you saw that grey flower was priceless, You looked like you just struck gold and I bet the flowers felt enough warmth from your fingers to last them a lifetime.I'm glad you like them... And I'm glad to let you know the grey flowers won my heart too,I call them "Linonies" Max beamed proudly Hi Max,I'm Sophie...So sorry for invading your property,...trying to calm her panicked self....the garden has been my safe haven since childhood Sophie continued and I love being here first thing in the morning...Im sorry I won't come here again from now on. Sophie turned to leave but Max held her right hand back and it felt as if time stopped,her brain had to obey her legs which have turned around even before the brain could process it. I don't mean it that way,Max replied,sure you can keep doing your routine reflection here every morning,infact I've been watching you for a while now and I think the flowers will miss your presence if you stopped coming...I don't want them to lack the love you show them,so please don't stop coming. Sophie used that moment to notice the features of the tall,stout and charming young man talking to her,with the most enchanting voice and eyes to die for yet there is this looks so simple in those polo and faded jeans yet there is this powerful aura around him....just like the grey flowers simple yet captivating, something tell her she is not going to be free from this ever! even she doesn't want to. I've been wanting to ask if you can be a part time worker here...Max voice brought her back from her imaginary world...You were saying? Sophie asked, You know sometimes i won't be here,The flowers will need someone to tend to them and prepare them for the Exhibition...I want to show them to the world...Max told her Really? Sophie jumped right into his arms before thinking of course,I'm sorry I wasn't thinking straight. Thanks for allowing me do my routine here and thank you for the offer...I promise to be diligent and keep up with your expectations... If only you knew all my expectations,Max thought...okay with that being established , I think you should resume tomorrow then we shall discuss the official part. Thank you,he stretched his hand for a shake and Sophie gladly took it in hers, all smiles...hands locked...again time froze. And right there Sophie knew she indeed has struck gold as they got lost in each others eyes.
