Chapter 12

"Where did you kidnap her?"

The ridiculous question of the male beside him made him roll his eyes.

"Hey! Don't you roll your eyes at me! I'm older than you!" Jasper exclaims. 

Pointing a bitten chicken leg at him and then retracts. Taking the whole leg inside his mouth and managed to somehow pull every meat and soft bones on it. Leaving the bone that he's been holding.

"I pity the future that you'll have, cousin." He just replied, indicating about his future in-law.

He continues eating his meal and minding his own business. Watching his dearest cousin disgracefully munching next a handful of fries that's been smothered in cheese.

"Huh phush haf shuho humen?"* (translation: what do you mean?) Jasper asked. His mouth that's so full and bulging, his sentence incoherent along with flying food particles coming out from his mouth.

It made him scrunch his face in disgust.

With a flick of his fingers, his plate along with his favorite food are now levitating. Small-sized whirlpools of wind are carrying each of the plates and boxes. Air barriers protect the foods from being rotated along with the whirlpool. 

With his food secured, he immediately walks away from the kitchen, going up the second floor and into his office. Leaving his still full-mouthed cousin behind.

"Mmm... mmmhhhm? Hm! Hnm!"* (translation: unknown) Jasper desperately said. Trying to get his attention And when it didn't budge, he now tries to swallow everything that's in his mouth... only to backfire.

"Hk--!" Now choking like a fish out of water and falling down the floor, Jasper desperately tries to reach for his cup of coke when it tipped and fell. Spilling the content on the floor.

He's about to push himself back up as he's now kneeling down the floor when suddenly... his spilled coke along with water from the table levitated. Gathering into one blob and came towards him at a fast speed, making him lay back on the floor with a thud.

In short, the blob of water helped him from his choking from food... but it resulted in being choked with water instead. Making him cough violently.

"Ack!" Jasper had made to squeeze out as he's still coughing, not knowing that the culprit to that water blob is now smirking at his predicament. Relishing in delight.

With that incident now behind him, he went back to his earlier task-- avoiding his cousin's disgusting eating habit.

Signing the last piece of paper and putting it back to its folder, Lindon slumps back to his chair. Dead tired.

It's been years since they came to this country. With the help of his cousin who is considered a genius in their standard, he adjusted living just like a normal person.

With his golden spoon upbringing and a very formal way of speech, Lindon couldn't himself easily into the lower class of society. Unlike his carefree cousin who was indeed born into the higher hierarchy but was brought up into the lowest.

His cousin is highly intelligent but most of the time he does the most foolish of things... which in fact what he worries about.

He's busy as it is since Jasper gave him back the authority of his own company that's actually their company. But coming to live here with him after finding a place that has enough amount of mana for them to cultivate, Jasper just went back to his childish ways. Like the serious and arctic face that he had was just another person.

He's already worried about two things at the same time... now he's adding a third one.

Remembering the girl from the forest. He stands up, planning to check on her.

Walking through the dark hallways, Lindon can see a light through a small gap from the door to where he had put the girl.

His ears can now hear his cousin's voice inside the spare bedroom.

Lindon knocks on the door before opening it wide for him to enter. Freezing for a second then his face contorts murderously as his right hand now formed a small whirlpool and his left hand a blob of water.

He now witnessed his perverted cousin on top of the girl... who's currently sweaty and panting erratically. Jasper's hands were about to open the second button of the pajama top that he had put on her before despite the girl's dirty appearance along with her clothes. He had carried her and put her to one of the bedrooms.

"W-wait! It's not what you think!" Jasper exclaims. His hands drop what it was doing and are now on the air. Surrendering completely.

"Then get off her this instant," Lindon instructs. His voice still hard and his murderous aura now intensifies.

"Fine! Sheesh. I was just helping her. She's sweating too much from all the heat... I mean look!"

His cousin points at the thick duvet covers that he covered her with up until her chin not long ago along with the multiple pillows stashed around her like a wall that's now on the carpeted floor.

"It's like you indeed saved her but you wanted her to instead die from suffocation! Not to mention you've also picked one of the thickest long-sleeved pajama shirts that you have!" Jasper continues.

Feeling embarrassed, Lindon sighs. Undoing his magic, he immediately turns around. Scratching his head.

"Oya~oya? What's this? Lindon embarrassing himself?" Jasper teases. "Pfft..."

His cousin's tease sparks his imagination of Jasper's comical face and hand gesture. Teasing eyes, a broad Cheshire smile, and a hand not totally covering his laughing face.

Trying his luck and peeks a little... he indeed had made the right guess. When his cousin saw him peeking, his smile got even bigger and it just irks him more than ever...

With a flick of his finger, the patio doors open and Jasper's body flings outside and down the balcony. Not even having second thoughts or remorse about his cousin landing hard on the ground or whatever.

"Fuuuuuuuuuuck youuuuuu!!!" Jasper's voice echoes as he falls down but Lindon is having none of it as he immediately closed the doors with a flick of his fingers.

Now that his annoying cousin is out of his way, Lindon now proceeds to change the duvets with a comforter instead and place the extra pillows back to the cabinet.
