Thy Darkness Within

EPISODE 16

Jay sat in the couch with a book at hand but just as he was about to start reading he heard someone at the door and hid the book as he headed out to open the door. “hey…” Jay began but Holly just walked right by him into the house, “well come right in why don’t you” “something’s going on with John…” she got right to the point “right cause, I totally did not notice the glowing eyes claws and sharp teeth.” Jay responded sarcastically “I’m serious Jay”.

“And so am I… fine I’ll bite what’s wrong with brother dearest.”

After listening to Holly, Jay put on a pondering look as though seriously thinking about it “Erhn he is just angry you would be too if I snapped your neck nothing more.” “What about the locker?” Holly pressed on, believing something was really wrong, “what about it, sheez I can do the same thing sober. I would probably rip the whole thing of it’s edges when pissed.”

Holly rolled her eyes at that, “that’s you John isn’t like that” Jay paused at that turning to face her with a c****d brow “wow, John isn’t like that… you’ve known him what, two, three days and you already know him.” Jay ended his sentence with a teasing smile on his face.

“In case you have forgotten today’s the full moon…” Holly continued trying to make Jay realize what was going on “And?” “The full moon is often responsible for making supernatural creatures lose control some even obtaining murderous tendencies” , “right last I checked I’m not feeling all staby staby” “you’re a vampire, may I remind you. John on the other is not and I have an inkling feeling I know what he is and if I’m right then this town is about to see something straight out of their nightmares.”

“and what would that be?” Jay asked with a smirk etched on his face, “a werewolf” Holly’s answer wiped the smirk of his face.

Back in the school.

Mr. Child was heading for his car, John’s detention had finally come to an end. He had managed to extend John’s Detention for the pettiest of reasons until he was satisfied. Sitting in his car he turned the key only to find out the car wouldn’t start, “f**k” He cursed as he stepped out of his car to check under the hood to see what the problem was.

Looking up at the night sky, he saw the full mon and staring at it for a moment he got an odd feeling with all his hairs standing on edge. Deciding to ignore the feeling he opened the hood of his car and began working on it.

After a few minutes Mr. Child couldn’t shake of the feeling that someone was watching him. After a few more minutes, Mr. Child finally managed to get the car to start shutting down the hood his heart jumped.

Before him was John Ashwood who just stood there staring at him, he was about to let the kid have it when he noticed some strange things; the boys eyes were glowing, his nails seemed to have transformed to claws and the most disturbing were the growls coming from him. John began to walk towards him and with each step Mr. Child took a step back, “John… what’s wrong with you?” John’s bones began snapping as though in response frightening Mr. Child even more.

John came to a halt falling to the ground occasionally letting out groans of agony and pain. Mr. Child stood there watching, the educator in him told him to get closer to check on the boy but the human side of him told him to get the hell out of there. John’s bones kept n snapping as he kept growing in size, Mr. Child watched in both fascination and horror. The boy had transformed into a seven foot tall monstrosity John whipped his head back and let out a howl which terrified him down to his core.

The howl could be heard in every part of the town, Scaring the town’s folk and every living thing in and around the town. Jay and Holly came too a halt as the heard the sound a look of terror flashing across their face, In Caleb’s home he didn’t know what the howl was but every fiber of his being told him that whatever it was he didn’t want to meet it.

In a certain secret room, the members of the council all kept silent as they heard the howl none of them daring to let out a sound.

Back in the school parking lot.

Mr. Child stared mouth agape at John… no at the monstrosity before him. The creature was neither beast nor man it looked him straight in the eye with it’s golden eyes allowing him to have a good look at it’s face which had wolfish features, with one look at its teeth he pissed his pants and opened his mouth to scream but before he could the beast pounced on him.

Holly and Jay arrived at the school a few minutes later and immediately they arrived at the parking lot as the stench of blood assaulted Jay’s nose, he took of for the source with Holly trailing after him. Jay came to a halt as he discovered the source, Holly soon arrived later and covered her mouth as she cam face to face with the mutilated body which was once Mr. Child. Jay regained his bearing almost immediately as he spoke up, “we need to find John and quickly because I have a feeling… this is only the beginning.”
