“The game we’ll be playing tonight is Hide and Seek,” Alphonse said, speaking into a microphone. He stood on the back porch of the packhouse, overlooking the party-goers. “Since we’ve decided to hand out prizes with these games, I’ve made a point system. If you’re not one of the designated seekers, your goal is not to be found at all. If you are found, but manage to escape and evade the seekers, you are still in the game. Seekers only succeed when they bring the person back to the packhouse, at which point, you are out of the game.” He held up a green ribbon, “When returned, your ribbon will be taken from you. This ribbon will have your name on it, in your handwriting. Do not lose it. The boundaries are the woods- if you cross a road, you’re disqualified. Any questions so far?”
