Chapter Thirty-Nine
Harry had just finished talking to Wayne when his phone rang again.
‘Is that Detective Sergeant Fuller?’
‘Yes,’ said Harry.
‘It’s Barry Yorke, Sergeant. You asked me to let you know if anyone approached me to take over what Doug Clarke did for us.’
Harry picked up his pen. ‘And, has someone approached you Mr Yorke?’
‘I had a meeting this morning with David Callinan. He’s an East Park accountant,’ said Barry. ‘He introduced himself as the new manager of Clarke Finance.’
‘Is he working for Mrs Clarke?’
‘No. She’s sold the business to a group of his clients and they’re looking to expand. Apparently, they have access to a lot more money.’
