Ace’s POV
I wake up, confused, in pain, wait wheres sami?
“Where is she? Where is sami?” I practically beg asking the nurse.
“Sir, you need to calm down, the doctor went to go find her” she says
Suddenly, my room door opens, it’s her, she actually stayed, I know I asked her too, but I didn’t think she would.
She comes to sit next to me, places my hand in hers, I get a warm feeling, and it’s not just the pain meds.
“You..stayed” I say to her
“You asked me to ace, im here” she says to me
Her voice is so soft, “Angel..” the rest of our conversation is hazy, between the pain meds, and just staring into her eyes I wasn’t paying attention.
She hears a knock on the door, “come in” she says looking over her shoulder. 15 of my brothers from the MC Devils SONS come walking into my room.
She doesn’t even flinch, the guys are raising there brows, and looking her up and down, why is it pissing me off?
We both being explaning the doctors orders, she takes over with the medical jargon, thank god for that, she’s always been the smartest in our class.
One of my brothers, Joker comes over to me and gently places his hand on my shoulder, “good to see you awake brother” he says.
After a few they all leave, and its just me and sami, its kinda strange, of all people, its her, shes the one who is here, we both finally try to get some sleep, we both get lulled to bed by the sounds of my machines.
It’s 3am, and the nurse is coming in to check my vitals, it wakes us both up, once the nurse leaves I look at her.
“Why did you stay?” I say softly
“I don’t know, but I couldn’t leave” she says
“I think this will be the only time in my life I’ll be grateful my mom and I got into a fight” she continues.
“Why do you say that?” I ask
“Cause I was able to save you” she responds looking me in the eyes.
The tension of two people who swore they hated each other, now sharing a space too intimate for hate to survive untouched.
