Emily felt a jolt of excitement. She had always wanted to visit New York, and the idea of going with Alex was too good to pass up. "Okay," she said, smiling. "Let's do it." The next morning, they packed their bags and headed to the airport. Emily felt a sense of nervousness as they boarded the plane. This was a big step for their relationship, and she wasn't sure what to expect. When they arrived in New York, Alex's friends picked them up from the airport and took them to their apartment in Brooklyn. Emily was amazed by the energy and bustle of the city. She had never seen anything like it. Over the next few days, they explored all of New York's famous landmarks – the Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square. They ate at amazing restaurants and saw incredible shows on Broadway. Emily felt like she was in a dream. But as the trip drew to a close, Emily felt a sense of dread creeping in. She knew that they would have to go back to Ocean View soon, and she still didn't know what she wanted to do. On their last night in New York, Alex took Emily to a rooftop bar overlooking the city. They sat at a small table, sipping cocktails as they watched the sun set over the skyline. "This has been amazing," Emily said, her voice tinged with sadness. "But...I don't know what to do next." Alex took her hand. "Emily, I don't want to pressure you. But...I know how I feel. And I think you know, too." Emily looked at him, her heart racing. "What are you saying?"
