Adrian watched Etienne out of the corner of his eye, as he was on the phone with a dispatcher from the airport.
Adrian listened to Etienne state his name, and who he was exactly. Etienne gave the order to detain an individual and keep them from passing through security. He gave the dispatcher Ada’s full name and birthdate.
As Etienne got off the phone, he looked at it. He felt like the tone of the dispatcher on the other end was different. Disrespectful? Patronizing?
He wasn’t quite sure what to make of it, since it’s not a tone anyone uses with him. He is accustomed to causing anyone low ranking to become tongue tied or flustered around him.
