Present No one had jarred Ada's shoulder or said anything to her. What woke her, was the change of the road noise. The sound the tires were making on the asphalt had changed from the high pitched whine to a low rhythmic rumble. She didn't mean to have fallen asleep. In fact, she wanted to stay awake so that she was prepared if anything happened. Thankfully it looks like everything carried on as if this was any other bus trip, and not one that was carrying a high priority fugitive.  But Ada's ease quickly dissipated when she took a look around outside the windows. Her eyes widened in panic and she quickly dug her phone out of her pocket. This was precisely why she should have stayed awake. Hurrying to get the text sent, she smashed her fingers on the buttons.
