There’s noise in the background. An indistinct noise that didn’t change.
And there was another noise. Something with a rhythm.
She can hear voices over the noise. Deep male voices. She tried to open her eyes, but they felt too heavy. Just like in the dreams when no matter how hard you try, your legs barely work while you try to run. So, she gave up trying to open them and gives in to the relaxed feeling. She listened to the voices with a detached feeling.
“Are you CRAZY?! You kidn*pped her!”
“Stop. I have a plan.”
“And what plan is that. Let her run to officials and the media, ruin you, or keep her a prisoner for the rest of her life like a god damned criminal.”
