Beyond the horizon there is a lake majestic in beauty, but what's more intriguing is what lies beyond this lake in this densely packed jungle. A pack of wolves which have deep hatred for humans devours any that they come in contact with. This coven is headed by a ruthless leader who goes by the name (Drego) he has a son an heir to this pack, now according to his father's wishes he is betrothed to a very beautiful but ruthless vixen (Nicola), who he is going to marry in eight months time. All hell breaks loose when he falls in love with a human, can the two of them make their forbidden love work? can they over come the threat Nicola and his father pose to them? Would true love find a way or would burning rage, and jealousy win the day

Chapter 1
Just getting started (Audrey's perspective) It was 8: p.m. in the evening, and my mom was about to tuck Drey into his bed. Of course it was time for him to go to bed, and I decided to tag along. "Mom, can you tell me a story?" Drey asked my mom, "Yeah, sure, honey, b you know Audrey leaves for school tomorrow. Why don't you let her do the telling? My mom said, It would be nice for her to do so, but I don't want to have nightmares. The last time she told me a story”""", I couldn't sleep for weeks. I kept on getting nightmares." “Oh, come on now, don't be too paranoid. I told you a kid-friendly story," I said, trying to defend myself. “A talking donut with googly eyes is not kid-friendly, and don't forget about the fact that you said it could eat humans. Ever since then, I have never looked at a donut the same again," Drey said. "Alright, settle down, you two, listen," our mom said as the both of us settled down and she began, “legend has it that over 400 years ago there was a conflict between humans and some other beings who could transform into something terrible; it has sharp claws and really long fangs; they could take the form of a ware wolf; though they were terrible-looking, humans won the war by some miracle. Now there is a lake hidden deep in the forest; one could call it the eighth wonder of the world. It reflects the sunlight during the day, making it look like a pool of golden water, and at night it reflects the moonlight, looking like a silver oasis, but that's not what's special about that lake; it is rumored that the remnants of the injured wolves reside beyond the lake in the thick fog; they are faster, have a more acute sense of smell, and are very kin hearing. “Woah, I can't believe it." Drey said, “You should be scared, little man." "Who are you calling little, and I'm not scared?" Drey replied, but mom interfered before we could argue any further, she said. As I flickered the lights on and off repeatedly, trying to create a dramatic effect, I tripped on something and fell and hit Drey. He screamed as mom ordered me to leave the room before I hurt him. I hurriedly left before something worse would truly happen. The next day at school, the cab pulled up into the school driveway, and Chloe was waiting for me. “Finally, she returns. I have been waiting for you all day, girl. Where have you been?" Chloe asked, “At home packing, you know this." Yeah, whatever you say, is it just me or do the boys in the second year look hotter than they did when they were during their first year?” Yep, that's Chloe for you. “Same old Chloe, I've missed you." “Well, you better." She said it excitedly as we moved into our dorms. (Zachary's pov) I could tell it was still daytime because the sky was still showing some signs of light, but the sun was nowhere to be seen. I was standing on the balcony of a looming tower when I heard a commotion. From the way the others were noisy, I could tell it was another human who had wondered far beyond the point that they should've. They dragged the middle-aged man wearing something black on his neck to my father (Drego) to pass judgment on the individual. My dad was sitting on his throne, which was made up mostly of red rubies and gold. His overall black cloak gave him the appearance of a devil. He rose his hand up and everywhere was quiet, then he beconed for the one who caught the human to speak. "My liege, I caught this human trying to get past the waters that separate us from them; his presence here already defiles the sacredness of our sanctuary,he said, then my dad beconed for the human to speak. Please, sir, with all respect, I am a photographer,he said, raising the black thing he has on his neck.I only came to take a picture of that""""wonderous lake I saw. I didn't mean you any harm," he said, trying to convince everyone that he was no harm. Then Drego spoke up: “You say you are a photographer, yes. Who is to say that you will not tell the other humans of our existence?" "Sir, I promise you that I will not tell anyone about this." Drego just begged for them to take care of the vermin; at least that's what my kind call humans. “No, please. I have a daughter who needs me. Please let me go! I won't tell anyone, I swear!" The man yelled as he was trying to run away, “Oh, I love it when they run." A lady wearing all red approached me. Moved up (from Zachary's pov) “Oh, I love it when they run," a lady wearing all red approached me. I looked up and saw her (NicoIa). I was surprised that she didn't go after the human who was running away. “You didn't chase him, why?" "I pride myself on being royalty; there's no way I'm going to be chasing after a human with the rest of the herd. I'm going to be your Luna after all, right, Zach?" She said as she came really close to me and stared right at my lips. She pulled her face really close to mine, then tried to kiss me, but I pulled away. “Still playing hard to get, I see. Okay, then your father demands your presence this evening in the dining hall," she said as she patted my nose with her index finger, pecked me in the cheek, left, swayed her hips gracefully, and kept walking away cheerfully. (Chloe's pov) I have been in Mr Murdock's class for about 40 minutes now he had been teaching about the wonders of adding a cross shade whenever you a making a painting though I was starting to get bored “now I know my time is almost up so I have something fun for you all, I want you guys to make a painting one which shows how unique your imagination can be paint something and submit it to me in three days time" everyone started murmuring and I just stared at Audrey and she gazed back at me then the bell rang and I got to her “the bell couldn't have gone off sooner" I said to her “come on Chloe it's not that bad it's just a painting" yeah I know but still we just resumed school today and Murdock is already giving us assignments oh come on" I groaned. “So what are you going to paint?" She asked me, “I don't know yet. What about you?" I asked her back. “Well, you see, there is this story that my mom told my brother and I yesterday about the lake that is hidden within the forest." "You know that no one goes into that forest and makes it out, right? Or so the creepy legend says." I said nonchalantly, “Don't worry, I have done my research. Everyone that has gone missing from going into the forest was searching for gold or precious stones, but I am not looking for anything; I'm just going there to paint." Audrey said. “I don't really believe in that story, but I still don't think it's a good idea going there," I said as Audrey tried hiding behind me. I looked and saw Chad, her ex. “Remind me, Audrey, the reason you broke up with Chad again?" I asked her, staring at his goofy red hair and the freckles on his chin that made him look like a cartoon character. Then he started approaching us and started talking like a Shakespear novel come to life. “Oh Audrey, where art thou? Will I ever gaze at your ethereal face once again?" He said, still approaching us, “I take that back. I can totally see it now. Uhh Audrey, I think he has seen you." "You think?" She said slightly embarrassed as he got to us. “Uhh, hi Chad," she said nervously. “My damsel, you told me you needed space, and I gave that it's been two months now. I feel like we are two halves of a donut waiting to connect back into one whole." He gestured with his hands as he spoke. “Two halves of what you know, what I'm out," I said as Audrey held my hand and muttered, Please stay under her breath. Then she spoke up to Chad, “You see, Chad, when I said let's take a break, I was thinking that you would get the e hint." "O I got the hint alright," he said as he kneeled down on one knee.
