"What is he doing?" I asked shocked, “Oh God," Audrey said as he brought out a bouquet of flowers. “You wanted to know how much we would miss each other if we are not together, we'll miss you terribly," he said, really passionate about what he was saying. I felt pity for him though because I know that Audrey doesn’t love him the way he loves her. “Chad, I have a school project. Just let me do it in peace, okay?" “Alright, I'll wait for you, my love," he said as Audrey hurriedly left him and drew me along with her. “He loves you," I said teasingly. “Come on, stop it, that's creepy." She said, “Oh Audrey, where art thou? We are like two halves of a donut." She interrupted me by hitting me, and then we both laughed. "II'm in the mood for ice cream, and I have three coupons. Let's go to my favorite ice cream place." Audrey said, “You mean Benny's ice cream palace?" I said, “Yeah," and she replied, “I want my own ice cream with a donut half of it, to be precise." I said, “You've got to let that go sometime, Chlo." She said, “You know me better than that, Audrey." I said. Zachary's pov It was evening time. I knew right around this time my dad should be seated at the dining room, so I walked to the dining room and I saw Nicola, her dad, and my father seated at a table. “Its great son that you could join us at the table today," he said, siping the red liquid he had in his hands. “Father, why did you summon me here today?" I asked as Drego stared at Mr. Bloodgud, his friend, then started back at me, “You and Nicola are going to get married in eight months time." Meeting (Zachary's perspective) “You and Nicola are going to get married in eight months." My dad said as I stared at her slightly in anger, “Father, you told me that I'd have at least a year and a half, so why the sudden change of heart?" I asked, trying to hide my disappointment. “Son, the bond between Mr. Bloodgud and I has never been stronger, and why wait when thou shall still get joined into one union?" my dad said, and I noticed that Nicola was smiling, but I wasn't happy. Not that I let my face show it, I still had my vague expression on. "Can I be excused?" I asked everyone at the table, “But you haven't touched your dinner." Mr. Bloodgud said, “I'm not hungry right now." I replied, “Do what you want, but don't be too long." Nicola said, and I looked at my dad. He nodded slightly, so I left the place and just started walking wherever my legs took me. Audrey's pov I held on to my sketchpad, some of my paint brushes, and my colors. I got to the entrance of the forest, and I took a deep breath. The sun had set, and the moon was glistening in the sky. I started trudging along the grassy and tree-filled plain with my heart in my mouth. I was terrified, but I was still trying my best to keep it cool when suddenly I heard a rock above me. I shuddered in fright, then I saw it was a monkey swinging through the treetops. “Alright, calm down, Audrey. It's just a monkey; it's a forest, so there are monkeys here. Ware wolves aren't real; they aren't real." I was chanting to myself as I finally got close to the lake. I saw silver glitter before even getting to the lake. I was already mesmerized by it's beauty. When I finally got there, I touched the water. It was warm. I looked around. The wind blew, and all the leaves of the tree danced to its rhythm. I was starting to relax, enjoying the beauty of nature. I spotted a tree that was not too difficult to climb, so I climbed into it, opened my eyes, and started working my magic on it. After about 2 hours, I was nearly done with the painting when I heard a sound that shook me down to my bone marrow. It was a gazelle screaming as something had its fangs on it. “It's alright, it's just a wolf eating a gazelle, nothing out of the ordinary," my subconscious told me. Then the cloud partly blocked the moon, and the wolf turned into part human. I shuddered as the hair at the back of my neck stood up. I bit my lip. I could feel my eyes dilating. I was so terrified, so I decided to run away from the tree before he could see me. I put my sketchpad and my instruments into the little backpack I had with me, then started climbing down the tree slowly, but to my horror, I scratched my leg on the tree. I shrieked but tried to stifle it. I jumped down from the tree, scared. I peeped at him again, but he didn't still see me. He was so engrossed in the creatures he was devouring. I inspected my injury; it looked deep, and then the blood was gushing out. The wind kept on blowing around. I stared back at the place where the wolf was, but I didn't see him. I was so terrified of the fact that today might be my last day on earth. I could hardly move, then I heard a rustling sound behind me. I took to my heels, running as fast as I could, but something breezed past me and scratched my sleeve. Luckily, it didn't reach my skin, but it was so fast I only saw it's blur. That's not good. My mind whispered to me as he hit me again. This time I fell to the ground, and my backpack fell from my back, and I struggled on the ground. But just when I thought all was lost, I just felt someone carry me, and within the blink of an eye, I was on the main road. I was breathing heavily, inspecting my injuries, and wondering how I got here. I took a long look into the forest. At least I got the painting I thought before I realized that I had lost my backpack in the forest. “Oh no!".......... New Horizons (Zachary's perspective) I kept on walking trying to remove the thought of the wedding with Nicola off my head when I got near the silver lake where I normally come to clear my head I saw an amazing sight, she was sitting on a tree branch high up the ground it looked like she was painting, the wind was blowing her hair and it swayed majestically dancing to the rhythm of the movement of the wind, as she painted she was smiling, just watching her made me feel that I had no worries in the world, suddenly her smile vanished she bit her lip I could tell she was devastated I looked around as I smelt the scent of blood I looked in the direction and I saw Fergus devouring a gazelle he had caught I was slightly angry that he was wreckless, then I perceived another smell of blood this one was more aluring to me than any other blood that I have ever seen before, my throat itched. I knew instantly that if I couldn't easily control my hunger, Fergus wouldn't either. He sped towards the direction of the lady as he was trying to catch up with her. He scratched her. I was running after them, but I was still trying not to perceive her blood, so I wasn't going as fast as I should. Then he hit her. She fell, and her backpack fell off. He was about to dig his fangs into her neck, and I stopped holding back and carried her in a bridal style and ran as fast as I could. To the normal human eye, I would look like a blur, but to me, everything was in slow motion. I stared at her face really keenly; she had her eyes closed. She was still in shock, so I dropped her off onto the road and ran back to face Fergus. I saw him standing close to her bag. “I didn't know that the heir to the pack was allowed to interfere with my dinner," he said, staring at me evilly. His hair covered half of his face and also his eye. He stared at me with his bloodshot red pupils licking his lips. “I wonder what master Drego is going to do when he hears his son, the heir to the empire, rescues a human." I stared at him. "There are two ways that I'm going to keep my lips shut. (I stared at him as if saying go on.) Give me the girl, and I'll let bygones be bygones, and the second option is killing me and having all the others in a frenzy. When they find out that their prince killed one of them, Drego would have no choice but to execute you."? Which is it going to be, prince?" Fergus asked with lust in his eyes. I sped towards him before he could even know what was going on and pulled out his head. Though his head was dismembered from his body, it was still alive, and he was laughing. “Oh, Zachary, poor poor Zachary, you are infatuated with her, aren't you?" He asked, laughing as I stepped on his head, and it burst into so many pieces, and he finally stopped talking. I carried Audrey's backpack; I was going to return it to her, but out of curiosity, I opened it and saw some paint brushes and a hair brush, all of which were boring to me before I saw the painting she made of the lake, and I must say she is talented.
